I think i might post this poll every day, just for the historical record.

I find myself strangely confident about the Patriots' chances today. The Giants (and their fans) seem overly confident. Makes me like our chances.

I'm waiting for a sign. Some sign will come that will tell me what is going to happen one way or the other.

Until that sign appears, I'm 45-45 with 10 % undecided.

60%. Slightly better than a tossup. Of course, before the actual game it's an "all things being equal matchup". Stuff obviously can happen during the game that can change that one way or the other.

Im at 80% right now. But you may even want to consider an hourly pole, not just daily. :D My feeling about it actually changes more like minute to minute, but that may be a bit much to make that many pole threads. :coffee:

They came into Foxboro without two of their better offensive players and won.

I love the Pats and am thrilled they are playing in this game but I can't imagine how that secondary is going to make a stop unless Lee Evans is playing Sunday. No knock on Moore-he did make a nice play on third down as well-but I have seen more than enough this season against average or below average QB's to feel any type on confidence going into this game.

A team that was dead last in rushing and one of their best offensive players is the Running back? Pats were missing some players on defense too, everyone is missing players, its not cut and dry, its not black and white. You game plan for who is on the field.

I put 70% only b/c of the possibility of mistakes (turnovers, penalties, etc), otherwise I'd have put 100%.

I too put 70%. I like our chances - the gameplan should be sound and if we execute it should be a Pats win I think. I think Brady's desire and passion will be the x factor here.

That said, if mistakes are made Eli and the Giants do have the ability to capitilize. We really need to play pretty much mistake-free.

I think we can do it - and man I sure hope so.

As I've said to some friends this match-up is interesting. A win gives us huge satisfaction and a bit of payback. It would be really really sweet.

But a loss is almost hard to even think about. I can't bear the idea of Brady's legacy being tarnished by comments of "Well he could never beat Eli in the Big One" or "The Giants own the Patriots when it counts." It would be devestating and we'd never hear the end of it.

I desire a win here more than any sporting event I can ever recall just because I know it really comes down to Brady and Belichick's legacy being on line. I don't want that stain - TB and BB need this one to cement their places as the best of all time. We have got to win this one.

Like your avatar. Its hard for me to think about legacy when players and coaches are still playing. I want to win this one because it was kinda unexpected to me, and frankly because I want that 4th ring for Brady. I also want Ocho to get a ring as well...I think its important to him. I also want to see all the media that has been throwing crap around all week to become the biggest hypocrites ever when they have to praise the Pats afterwards. I want it for the spygate crap as well. I have not seen BB this happy, not sure why but he seems at peace. I am always 50% on any game, so that does not change.

I said it before and I'll say it again I have never been more confident in a Patriots victory.

IIRC wasn't Bradshaw hurt for several games-maybe Jacobs too? Yes I think Bradshaw is a very good RB and could have made a difference that day.

I hope I am wrong.

He played in 12 games this year, had 600 yards rushing 3.9 ypc....So I guess he is on the lines of Maroney?

I'm hovering around 65-80% chance of victory, decided to go with 70%.

There has been 0 smack talk from any pro-Pats media sources saying that the Patriots are gonna win, but there has been plenty from 'neutral' sources (NFL Network being a good case in point, fellating the Giants at every oportunity they get) and pro-Giants media sources.

Smack talk is what fuels the Patriots desire for victory. Brady knows that he has to play the game of his life and is being called a pussy (for lack of a better term) by some, this will only make him want to prove that he still has it.

People keep on throwing the 'they didn't beat a play-off team in the regular season' line, and the line of 'Giants beat them before without Nicks and Bradshaw (who is supposed to be a major threat despite the giants being dead last in rushing yards)' and saying that they matter and that because of those facts, the Patriots don't have a chance of victory.

Pats maybe bookies favourites but Giants are the media favourites, hope the Pats go out there and crush them.

Today I'm at 30%. I'm scared out of my mind. And twitching. Lots of twitching.

The media hates the Pats; their egos and pride are talikng.

For the bookies, it's all business.

>90% for me. Tom Brady will play his best game as a Patriot and this game will be the one NFL Films does stories about. Nothing is more clear to me than this.

This right here worries me more.

Dude, you're the consummate Eeyore. Stick with what works!!:cuss:

That is it 100 percent. Predictions never come down to what the media actually thinks, its who they want to win. Its as if fans were voting on who was going to win. I mean I listen to media people who do not even know what the players are. Example this morning I am listening to Solomon Wilcox who is the biggest douche there is by the way....he was saying, well you know how the pats like to throw the ball so much, when you do that you take more chances on a tipped ball and I think that is the difference of the game.....the freaking giants threw the ball last week 58 times!!! Bob Pappa who is a Giants homer actually had to intervene and try not to make him sound like the idiot he was, by saying, the giants throw just as much as the Patriots do, so just as much chance on both sides.
