Yeah, it was a hold, but ticky-tack (even Criqui and Lynch thought so), and especially compared to what the Cards' OL was allowed to get away with all game long.

Yeah that hurt....it was like TD ...no there was a flag....then a false start....it was grueling to watch.

Well they did not seem to see when Gronk got held on passes to him it seems, but they saw that one perfect.

AHern was obviously a huge piece in today's gameplan, and once he was injured, it was offensive patchwork. Lloyd and Welker need to catch the frickin' balls, and Brady needs to make better throws. 3-4 more completions would have changed the game.

Edelman 5 of 6 (and was open a couple times that Brady apparently didn't see. On the 2-point conversion attempt, for example.

No, I hated a lot of the play calls too.. but if your position is that each and every third and seven should be a pass then i respectfully disagree. There is something to be said for "breaking your own tendencies" and it's damn easy to complain after something doesn't work.

You cut the quarterback slack at every turn, the old "good faith effort" mantra. I'm just offering the same courtesy to folks who are trying to win just as much as St. Tom.

Can't you see that... ??

I did not like the play call on that 3rd and 7 toss, you want to make this about Brady do it elsewhere. You dont say a freaking word all week about the game or anything and then you swoop in to play your game after a hard loss like that. GFY.

Maybe you should spend some time talking during the week about the game and not wait until we lost a hard game and come out trolling like this...just saying...

Maybe I have other interests than posting constantly on a message board...

Maybe those interests include a demanding job.. a wife and child that I choose to spend time with...

Maybe Sunday is the day I set aside for myself, to hang in the chat room (instead of some game thread) and try to follow my team as I see fit...

Maybe once the game is over, and the chat room clears out, it's my time to spend the rest of my Sunday perusing this thread and adding one or two comments that I (read ME) feel are notworthy.

Maybe you should follow my lead.... just saying....
 
OMG it's even worse when I see the missed FG... why was he trying to put so much on that ball? that's the only way shanks like that happen... Now I'm even more depressed... I need to go out and buy a new fishing pole to make me feel better...

Looked like he lined up wrong... that ball didn't seem to have much curve on it... seemed like it was wide from the get-go

I'm guessing that he let the pressure get to him, making the 42-yard attempt seem like a 62-yarder. He needed to walk out there with a "let's kick this thing and go home" attitude, not "oh noez, if I miss, we lose." :eek:hnoez:
 
The offense sucked, as did special teams. With the Ravens losing and the Bills and Dolphins winning, we need the Steelers to beat the JEST, but that doesn't look good. This has been a shitty week of football.
 
Can we end the Donald Thomas experiment forever? He was putrid today. I thought the edge guys in Vollmer and Solder actually played pretty well, and most of the sacks were of the coverage variety which is why Brady turtled. Felt like a game where Josh mismanaged his playcalling quite a bit, almost like TGTSNBM. Hopefully he gets that behind him and we can clean up going forward. I feel like a broken record, but let's please get Cannon taking snaps at Guard immediately.
