Why would any media member ask any member of the Seattle Seahawks about it?

Like, if there were a team with less connection to it than Seattle, I'm not sure what team that would be.

They must think there's an angle here. No doubt hoping someone like Sherman will say something to slate the Pats about this and generate a headline. They're trying to provoke a reaction.

Seattle's a championship team. Despite what people's impressions of them might be, they're a talented, young, focused group of guys.

They're champions because they deserve to be. The Patriots have a big challenge in front of them next Sunday.

No doubt. There's some similarities with the Patriots. Both clubs are a little bit different from the rest and do things a bit differently. Both have two of the best coaches in the business and are more similar than people think. And both clubs seem to have rock solid ownership. You won't find anyone better than Paul Allen.

As long as Carroll is there, Seattle will be perennial contenders in the NFC. They badly need receivers in the draft or free agency, if they can sort that they'll up their performances.

Mort is STILL insisting (now on ProBowl pregame) that this stems from Mike Adams interception in Nov. is when the footballs were noticed. Colts put "underinflated footballs" on some alert list or whatever he called it.

Boom.

Pete Carroll has just said he's learned more about footballs and pressure in the past week than he's ever had! And he empathises totally with Bill. He said it happens, things that hit you for the first time that you never thought of. He said he's never checked how footballs are handled etc until this week. Says his awareness is now up!

Said it's an unfortunate situation the Patriots have to deal with.

In fact, from what I've read (can't find where anymore, but someone will know I'm sure). ONLY the one that was intercepted was 2lbs under. In other words, the one that went through the Colts fingers is significantly less inflated than all the other balls that were marginally underinflated. Hmmmmmm......
