I know you don't follow them closely but except for the Denver game we scored so much so fast it made LAC,Pitt,San Fran and the Jags one dimensional and 75% of their yards were garbage yards. We have the best 3rd down defense in the NFL.

The NFL is full of convicts... Sometimes you have to take chances with sketchy players that are gifted with athletic skills.

Thats why thinga such as DVOA take all that into consideration, And Kansas City is ranked 28th overall By DVOA
 
Mahomes has played well he has benifited greatly from the new rules that make playing defense impossible. Another thing to note last year after about 6 or 7 weeks the other teams figured out andy reid and the chiefs. It got bad to the point they lost to tyrod taylor and the bills and eli and the giants.
And mahomes while he is playing good, he is on a start t
like RG3 and Dak Prescott. Its only a matter of time before he will drop. Regression is coming.
