This is bad. If it's a money grab, he will still have this stain of accusation as it will unlikely ever end with her shrugging her shoulders and saying, yeah, it was about the money. It will be he said she said and because Brown is now with the Patriots, he is going to be savaged by the wider media and fan bases and you know, Kraft will be brought into this and all of a sudden the Patriots are being labelled as a hostile, misogynist organisation.
None of this ends well for the Patriots. If he's innocent, others won't care and the label will stick and if he's guilty, he'll be gone.
The only way the Patriots could possibly come out of this well now is if they cut him straight away. That in itself is a terrible thing to say as it's supposing guilt when no case has been heard and no evidence produced. But this will not end well for NE in any other way. Goodell is going to place him on the exempt list anyway and if NE do this, they will actually get huge credit and really make the Chiefs and Cowboys look terrible.
I'm afraid, this is the world we live in. The timing of this has to wake people up and surely show them this is highly suspicious. But the majority won't care, the Pitchforks are drawn.
