Patrick Mahomes Voted #1 NFL's top 100

Really ! He's not that kinda guy.

Really ! He's not that kinda guy.
He's not but even he admitted just last week after watching the SB tape that he was seeing ghosts and bailed on his Oline when they were blocking just fine. He also said earlier in the off-season that he needs to become more efficient and play less hero ball. Easier said than done IMO when you have his athleticism and arm talent. I have a feeling these last 3 years will be the best of Mahomes that we will see. The injuries are going to mount from his style of play and Andy Reid is gonna Andy Reid.

The chiefs line wasn’t just bad in pass protection, they definitely contributed to the poor performance by their RBs in terms of punching in TDs in the red zone. Thuney should help a lot in that area right? I think we could see CEH take a big step this year.
Kelce is 32 I think. He’s been incredible but even Gronk slowed down at a certain point.
I root against Hill. No matter who he’s playing. He may be my least favorite player in the league.
I think this year the chiefs pass game takes a slight step back, but their run game will pick up.

Why am I such a douche??

Man it must suck to have 2 of the top 10 players in the NFL in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, according to the players themselves, and still not be able to score a single touchdown in the Super Bowl. How embarrassing. That was with Tyreek Hill, too. I notice though that everyone talks about Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes... and no one else. I notice that Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill were covered in the Super Bowl, and Mahomes ran around for 500 years (legends say he's still running around, extending a play even now), and no one else Ever got open. I notice that despite consistent tight coverage on them, often double coverage, all other KC WRs and TEs Combined for a total of 41 yards (off 18 attempts!), and the only way the ball was moved at all was by forcing it to those two via heroics.

You've got 2 more years before the 3 of them combine for an 80 million cap hit, so they had better be good. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, as has been clearly demonstrated, having 3 good players isn't enough to win the Super Bowl. And please, spare me regarding the Chiefs offensive line. They fired the people who Didn't Play, and hired new people to replace their Injured Starters. The quality of the starters was never the issue, it was Depth. The Chiefs are front loaded, and their backups can't cut it, so if they suffer any injuries (to their one half decent RB, their O Line, or heaven forbid Hill, Kelce, or Mahomes) their season is over. In football, good luck with that. Add to all of that, their defense just isn't good, and was not substantially improved this offseason because they were so focused on their non-existent O Line :ROFLMAO: Finished 22nd in DVOA last year, and got torn up to the tune of 31 points in the Super Bowl, and no one is even talking about it because the offense was so bad :ROFLMAO:

So yeah, that's how they lose, you cover Kelce and Hill, and rip through their subpar defense. I know, I know, who am I as a Patriots fan to talk, it's not like we made a bunch of waves last year, but let's be real. You and I both know that the Patriots had nowhere near the talent on the roster the Chiefs did based on those same rankings, and we both know the gap between the Patriots and Chiefs has already diminished from where it was a year ago. I'm just saying bragging about how you have the best player in the NFL and STILL can't get it done seems a little weird to me.

(BTW all of that in good fun, good to have you around, you did ask for it )

You left out that by the time those numbers hit the cap, the guy who broke his kid's arm will be 30, and Kelce will be 34.

Clearly.

For the record, Brett Favre won exactly one Super Bowl and went to 2 before he turned 30. Just saying.
Why in the world would you be comparing the two???? Mahomes is 10x better than Favre. Mahomes is ONE dumbass Dee Ford play away from reaching the SB every year he's played. Think about that.

My statement stands and is 100% true. It was the only play in that game that completely changed the outcome.

Yep. And only 20 horrible scramble plays away from his second ring last year ...

You know what, F Mahomes. He proved that he is not so great when face with a good defense.

And the only player that I wish an injury to is that child abuser Hill.
And how are those kids doing that Andy Reeds drunk son put in the hospital.
Yup, you have a lot to be proud of with that team of yours.

THE BIG STORYLINES

Mac Jones had one of the best preseasons PFF has ever seen

Jones closed out his first preseason in the NFL ranks with another quality performance. Once again, he made several accurate and anticipatory throws, just as he did at Alabama, and he made very few mistakes as a passer over three games.

Mac Jones earned a 77.1 passing grade for his Week 3 game and a 92.2 mark overall for the preseason. The latter beat out Patrick Mahomes in 2017 for the best single-preseason passing grade by a rookie quarterback since PFF began tracking the games in 2013.

The first-year signal-caller led all quarterbacks this preseason in passing grade on 10-plus-yard throws, negatively graded throw rate and turnover-worthy play rate (0%). The rookie did everything he could to win the starting quarterback job, and the chances are that he'll be taking the reins in New England sooner rather than later.
