SUPER Wildcard Weekend Game Patriots @ Bills Gamete Thread - Saturday 8:15 PM

Do you think that BB would keep anyone around, for one minute, if he even suspected that the coach had any other agenda other than to win the game ?

I have run sales organizations with hundreds of reps, managers and other psudo-sales roles (analysts, techs, engineers etc) and it can be VERY difficult to recognize quickly when a trusted manager has slipped or gone slightly off the rails especially when that person is inside your firewall and 100% trusted. When results suffer it is easy to look past the obvious for other "reasons" to justify what is plainly happening. Big orgs REQUIRE trust to win consistently (board room or ball field). No one person can do it all at every level.

BB has a massive organization to run. For him to "allow" McD to go sideways a bit in the face of the real success he has had with with Mac as a QB and the season in general (7 game winning streak and playoffs) is actually not that surprising. McD is inside the firewall. McD has a great track record. McD has killed it with Mac's development. BB is awesome, but he is human and fallible.

McD has a great OC track record- until this year and now something needs to change. As I said before, it could be the OC or it could be the OC changes what he is doing and success returns.

Either way I just want it fixed.

Then I can start bitching mid-game about special teams.....:encouragement:

They won the division by 1 game. That is owning the division?
We Patriots fans, of which you don't seem to be one, know what "owning" the division looks like.
Two-time division champs and counting ... the Buffalo Bills of all teams. The one we literally owned for 20 years now own the division.

Nobody literally owned anything. Please cut your troll baiting.

You can have your differing opinion without instigating.

On the bright side, I actually like Allen and McDermott. I mean imagine if it was the Jets or Miami winning?

It's hard to have much confidence in the Patriots heading into this game considering how poorly they've played since coming out of their bye. However, the disparity in quarterback talent is what sets the teams furthest apart at this point. Allen is bigger, faster, stronger, more mobile, and has a much better arm. Allen also has better receivers. I don't think Jones will surpass 150 passing yards in this game and his Y/A will be under 5. The Patriots will have to rely heavily on an effective run game and defensive turnovers for this game to be competitive.

Buffalo 27
NE 16

Everyone here agrees with you about the bolded. You left out the most important thing though.
Mac Jones is smarter and it's the mental aspect of being a QB that separates a good QB from a great QB.

Now crawl back into your basement and compare Allen's rookie stats with Mac's.
