Looking At The Patriots 2022

And yet people have been bemoaning the lack of explosive plays going back several seasons now, and rightfully so. Smart teams put all their players within 12 yards of the LOS, stop the run, play single-high press man and it ate the offense alive.

Can't please everyone. The offense was fine against Baltimore in terms of yardage/production. They lost the game because they turned the ball over four times and the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down.
Not explosive plays but explosive play makers.

It's possible we could go on a run now, starting with the home game v the Lions. It's not impossible we could run off 6 straight wins. Not saying it will happen, just that there's a decent chance it could. We'd then have a tough away game in Minny, but they don't look invincible either. A long time until we play the Bills. If we could get 5 straight wins, we get to the Bye and then the Jets at home. Only two away games out of the next 6.

If you had told me before the season began that we would lose in overtime to Green Bay in Green Bay 27–24 I would have not been surprised nor upset by that. Now add into the mix, the quarterback situation, and I am impressed with what the team did yesterday.

We all knew it would take some time for the team to figure out its identity especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think they are doing that and I like what I see. Ball control and strong D = best place for young QB. I think they were pushing Mac and they offense a little to fast. The injuries to Mac/Hoyer will force them back the dink/dunk matriculate down the field offense I have wanted to see.

Roberto is correct above. We could see a nice run coming up. The Bills are NOT what they were projected to be so far. Miami is not as good as 3-1 looks and Tua continues to be fragile. The Jets? Happy to see some life in that team in Green for NJ for a change if only for their long suffering fans. But they are the Jets.

Parity in the league is high this year. That bodes well for teams that need to grind out wins with strategic game plans and coaching staffs that are tactically strong. That is Belichick to a tee.

Lets chill and see what is next.

Rest of the sched is full of winnable games, aside from maybe the Bills. Rest we should have a chance in basically every game if we play to potential.

I find it unbelievable that so many RTP calls are being missed against the Pats. Is every team having this problem? I don't think so.

Devin McCourty shouts-out the young guys - “Marcus, Jack, Zap”: “Thrown in the fire. First time, Lambeau, I thought those guys definitely played well.”
