Random Football News: 2023

You did not misunderstand. I do most left handed but am able to do most anything with my right including write. and throw a baseball.

Wow!

Nice.

Extra bonus points for the pitching ability.

:)

I've heard stories like this.

Bitch.

Long live the power of the left handed.

Bonus points for being ambidextrous.

:)
Lefty here.... HOLLA!

Not ambidextrous but can bat from both sides of the plate. I can also manipulate tea kettles and milk jugs that right-handed pieces of shit leave facing in the wrong positions. :coffee:

I didn't go to Catholic schools, but I was in a small window of time in early 70's where someone thought it was a good idea to take kids who were using their left hand and make them use their right. so I write right-handed and my writing sucks
I do most sports "lefty". I throw righty but golf, hockey and batting all lefty
I know Catholic schools thought left-handed was the sign of the devil or something... they were probably "right" :coffee:

Lefty here too. I can remember at least one teacher trying to shame me for how I wrote. Still write with my left hand and it still looks fucked up to other people but it's more legible than most of the right handed people that I work with. :ROFLMAO:

My two older sisters were left handed and the nuns and teachers( one sister had nuns the other a teacher) and they paddled it out of them. When it came my turn mom after hearing I had been paddled for this went to school and told them in no terms was this going to happen to me. I remained left hand. I never asked mom why she didn't do that for them.

i mean, you were obviously her favorite, and should remind your sisters of this as often as possible.:harumph:

Ok.

The switch hitter thing.

A euphemism?

Asking for a friend.

Joking

Nobody's business anyway.

:)

The stories I've heard from from friends it seems the devil thing is not too far off the mark.

I don't me literally but anyone different is almost an abomination to some.

Lefty here. #LeftiesAreAmazing My mom is ambidextrous

Not sure there's a correlation here, never took that close of a look at it but some of the best, most successful and creative people I know are left handed.

My uncle Chuck, not really my uncle, my dad's best friend is one of most wonderful, interesting, unique an warm men, of great taste and personality I grew up with.

Tons of examples of this.

Just off the top of my head, Tim Allen is left handed. Don't ask me how I remember everything and shit like this. I dunno.

Many more examples.

Just without looking deeper there seems to be the possibility of something kinda special with you weirdos. :)

Clearly that was my assessment at the age of six. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

How could you not be the favorite child?

I have a half brother 14 years older who never lived with me so I'm essentially an only child.

My gram sat me down one day and straight told me not to breathe a word of it, that I was her favorite initially because I was her first grandchild, then watching me I earned that spot for eternity. And dammit if she didn't prove the truth of that time and time again.

Ok, let's get back to the topic of the thread. I added to the digression and will stop.

Ok, Boss. And I'm a righty that uses his left hand pretty well for many things but not writing.

So, my wife watches Hoda and Jenna in the morning. Definitely not my thing, but she tells me they had Gronk on this morning, which
I agreed to watch because she recorded it thinking I would like it and also it promised to be a train wreck. I didn't want to hurt her
feelings, so.....I watched it.

It was pretty bad. Gronkowski is one of the more awkward "personalities" on TV and he has only improved marginally.

The highlight of the bit was when he taught the hosts how to spike little plastic footballs. Yep, that bad. He also told a Bounty paper towel joke. Twice in
five minutes.

He's the GOAT Tight End hands down, but I don't think he's going to make it much longer in show business. I don't think he's very
good even when he's talking about the NFL.

I know this is a longer term different kind of thread so I get that.

Absolutely not being difficult or jerky here.

Just honestly curious.

Are digressions, twist and turns, going on epic off topic tangents not something looked for here anymore?

Just remember some of the best, fun and valuable threads went every which way but loose.
