Alk's European Vacation (advice needed)

It was a FULL day in London. Like 30k plus steps full. We saw the Tower of London, the London Bridge, Big Ben/Parliament, Westminster Abbey, yet somehow I think we missed Buckingham Palace. 🤦‍♂️ Then we finished off the day with a Jack the Ripper tour. Tomorrow is our last full day before we head back to the States. We have the Harry Potter Studio tour booked then we'll see what else we have time for.

Did you see Cat's house ?

Did you visit Cat's pub. He spends more time there than another place.
Is that black pudding?
I can't figure out what the Cat's Pub is. That is black pudding too. I wasn't overly impressed.

Cat is gomezcat, a long time poster here and a London resident. You should remember him not only from here, but at patfans.

Oh yes. I absolutely remember him. Is that the actual name of his pub?

I actually don't know which pub he goes. He's a London resident and usually post a thread around the 4th calling us rebels.
Thought perhaps he might chime in and give you some advise as Londoner as to where to go that may be of interest.

We wrapped up our final day in London. Madame Tussaud's, Buckingham Palace, Platform 9 3/4 and finally The Harry Potter Studio tour. This has been a really emotional trip. Every now and then out of the blue it slaps us in our face that our son was supposed to be on this trip with us and we just break down. On the airplane, in the middle of a museum. You name it. But we did this trip all for him. Tomorrow we catch a flight to Chicago where we will have a deep dish pizza waiting for us. Then on the 4th we will finish our journey home hopefully in time to celebrate with our friends and reconnect with our son who will be arriving a day ahead of us.

Indeed. As with every city, there are places that the locals go to. As I'm a grumpy wotsit, I won't be sharing those.
