    Emmitt Smith to announce retirement

Has another player signed a one day contract with a team only to retire like this before? It's odd, but better than retiring as a Cardinal, I guess.

    OT: Boston Dirt Dogs

You forgot to mention that the Sox games are on cable, unlike the Pats. And before 2001, NESN was not free. RE: the parade, remember, there was no rally because people feared that there would be too many Sox fans there. So basically, 3.2 Million people showed up to see their favorite players...

    OT: Boston Dirt Dogs

The Patriots and Sox are in the same boat there. With new owners, both teams have soared.

    OT: Boston Dirt Dogs

Selling out a stadium in football is a lot easier than selling out a stadium in baseball. That's a fact, due to the fact that there are 10x as many baseball games to go than football games. I think there have been only a handful of teams in baseball to sell out for an entire year (Cleveland...

    OT: Boston Dirt Dogs

Interest in the Red Sox is not very high? That's laughable. The Red Sox have some of the best ratings in baseball (and their postgame show ratings destroy other team's games). Remember, football is played on Sunday afternoons. Who has plans on Sunday afternoons? Compare that to baseball: Every...

Read and react: the REAL AFC champs

Thank you, I was about to type a similar response, but yours will do. Hell, I've only been here for a couple months. Tim Brady is my favorite player. ;)

    Alright? its almost here.

Re: Alright‚ its almost here. I could see this game going either way, to be honest. 14-2 and 15-1, there really isn't a big gap between the two. I could care less about Halloween though, this is a different Patriot team this time around. Or at least I hope so. :)

Ready For the Burgh Again? (or ready for more smack?)

I've never laughed so hard in my life, big guy. "Billichoke"? Are we talking about the guy who was won two Super Bowls and has NEVER LOST A PLAYOFF GAME with the Patriots? When exactly has he choked? On the other hand, you have Bill Cowher, the definition of a CHOKER. How many times has this...

Ready For the Burgh Again? (or ready for more smack?)

Dillon also never ran for 1600 yards or played in the playoffs before. First time for everything.

Ready For the Burgh Again? (or ready for more smack?)

You're comparing a rookie with little playoff experience totally sucking to a Two Time Super Bowl MVP having one bad game? Please, I'm sure Joe Montana and John Elway had some bad games in their career, too. But hey, had the Dolphins missed two FG's in the final minutes, the Pats probably...

Ready For the Burgh Again? (or ready for more smack?)

Do you have any pics of the 2001 AFC Title Game? That was a good one, because that one meant something. ;)

Ready For the Burgh Again? (or ready for more smack?)

It took the Steelers 5 quarters to beat a team that didn't even belong in the playoffs. It took 2 missed FG's to keep them alive. Oh, and a guy named Corey will be playing this time around for the Defending World Champion Patriots. You might have seen him play today. He was pretty good.

    We're Doomed

I'm not sure where this is going, but yes, I have played football.

    We're Doomed

Did the Colts also repeatedly run into a brick wall to simulate getting hit by Rodney Harrison?

    Colts Gonna Crush You

Why do Steeler fans have a fascination with the Pats? All the Steeler fans here loving talking about the Pats Super Bowl titles, likes it a bad thing. Listen, if you are a closet Pats fan, just announce it to the world, I'm sure most people here would respect you. Or maybe not. You should...
