Bill and Kraft part ways

Moving forward will be 10 steps back. Thats the problem, especially if it's Mayo. Vrabel might be better but thats a question mark.

So he was not fired but let go?

He will coach elsewhere I think but I hope it is in the NFC but still appreciate all he has done for the team and the fans.

I was able to see the press conference but not hear it (work stuff). Does it appear that he is leaving or was asked to leave?

I guess thats the kicker. He will still be coaching. If his team wins..it only make Kraft look worse again. Make no mistake for Kraft to look good, Bill has to fail. Thats terrible.

This way ends up being cleaner than what we saw in Seattle, where Carroll obviously still wants to coach, but was there eating a crap sandwich about that "advisory role". I wish BB all the luck in the world in his new endeavor, except when he comes up against the Patriots.

"Termination of contract by Mutual Agreement" is probably the most applicable phrase, I'm sure there will be caveats in the termination agreement such as a restriction on teams he can coach

Mutual agreement I prefer.

It genuinely appeared incredibly amicable. Bill started off by saying it's a day of celebration and gratitude and thanked RKK and his family for everything they did for him. This was not like Pete Carroll yesterday, who was shocked and tearful. They both seemed totally at ease.

I give both men huge credit for the way they did this. It was so dignified and mature. Bill seems to have no anger or frustration at all.

Yeah but after this I am sure he 10000 focused on his next team. Once he walked out the door he is "on to team XXXX". Not one ounce of thought being give to the Pats anymore.

I think he's genuinely excited about the next move. Full credit to him; he's 72 and quite rightly not ready to fade into retirement. Very inspirational. He still has that incredible passion for the game.
