The dynasty is truly over

I’m just saying, everyone is bitching about Kraft not spending money, but who are you gonna spend it on? The have been hardly any guys drafted worth resigning for ten years until maybe Dugger this year.

They did spend a ton a bad free agents a few years back. There’s exceptions to all rules and Judon was this exception. I wanted Dhop, but he went to the titans for about what the Pats were offering. I think there was more than money involved in that decision.
Typically you’re gonna overpay in FA. This year I don’t think it’s a good idea to give someone like Higgens market value to come to NE.
How we spent in the money in 2021 was a travesty. It wasn't the best FA class and we were spending like a bunch of drunken sailors trying for a Jete-like quick fix. We should have only signed Judon and Henry and then looked at the following season to add more pieces.

A 72 year old Belichick not getting total control of a franchise is somehow an indictment on his success and legacy here? Weird flex.
Not at all. His legacy is cemented. 1st ballot HOFer. He could retire today and it wouldn't change anything. And yes, he was a key part of the dynasty along with TB and RK.

That’s my point. Over the past 10 years there haven’t been many players worth giving that big second contract. The “best” free agents of any given year are rarely worth the money they are asking for.
Weird logic at play here.

1. The Patriots have few FAs worth giving a second big contract.
2. The best FAs are worth another contract.
3. Therefore Patriots have the best FAs

or from the other angle:

1. The best FAs aren't worth the money to sign
2. The Patriots FAs aren't worth the money to re-sign
3. Therefore the Patriots have the best FAs

The Falcons "being the only team interested" is false; another slight to make BB look bad, I guess. Both the Eagles and the Cowboys reached out to him, but he turned them down. They obviously can't have him in for a public interview because they already have an HC, and they don't want to fire their HC unless they are reasonably sure that they can land BB.

Additionally, we don't know what other teams may have contacted him, that DO have vacancies, that he denied. It is supposition that BB requires certain things in the front office. None of us know what his requirements are.

I was told Jerruh did reach out to BB and they had a long conversation. Ultimately, Jerruh wasn't willing to pay what BB wanted for a 3 yr deal. Control was a minor issue as well.

Wow, that is weird. Something really bad must've happened this season. Did Bill bite the hand that fed him or is it all these negative stories trying to shift/blame on the Krafts? I guess the parting ways amicably was just a mirage.
does it get any worse than your owner hiring your replacement a year before he fires you? that's bullshit.
