A question about Jerod Mayo's gut

How big is Mayo's gut? I'm sure the guy is in fairly good shape and that he is just a massive human being, but I can't tell if that bulge over his stomach is a fat gut, or just a swollen hunk of muscle. I tend to lean towards the latter, but I wanted to consult your guys' opinions.

TL;DR -- Is Jerod Mayo fat or ripped and in great shape based on the below picture?
