Wow, the Patriots official website went on the attack!

Wow. Excellent.

:hello:

I sure did.

It was a long time ago, but I can remember hating the shit out of them after they not only won a Super Bowl, but convinced Dick Steinberg to trade the 16th pick in the '85 draft for their 32nd and pocket change. We took Trevor Matich who proved to be utterly useless and they got the best WR in NFL history. Little things like that upset me a bit.

It was pure jealousy, because I knew that we could never, ever be as smart, good, complete or dominating as those guys were back in the day. When opposing fans now whine about how sick they are of us I know exactly how they feel. And that feels wonderful.

Now I appreciate what they accomplished, but then? Hate.

So I looked up the 1985 draft just for haha's. I know the USFL was around so some of the picks shouldn't have been that surprising. Check out where some of these guys were drafted that year:

Andre Reed - 4th
Kevin Greene - 5th
Herschel Walker - 5th
Jay Novacek - 6th
Steve Tasker - 9th
Doug Flutie - 11th

Ken Whisenhunt was also drafted in the last round that year.

Some pretty funny names;
The Vikings drafted Buster Rhymes in the 4th round.
The Dolphins drafted George Shorthose in the 6th.
The Broncos drafted Buddy Funck in the 10th.

Guess I've got a little too much time on my hands.

That was awesome.

Rare.

But if BB gave that the stamp of approval I think it goes a long way towards unifying the room.

Picked this up watching the game replay last night. I think a Big Sacks T-shirt is entirely appropriate.

Shorthose? :coffee:

Mark Bavaro also came from that draft.

Girl next to her: “ Auntie is AWESOME!”

Kid to left is straight outta Christmas Story. Wouldn’t be surprised if he triple dog dared her.

Kid behind I cant put a finger on. Either busted his first nut or “Mom?!?”

Lost in all the exuberance of the win was possibly my favorite hit of the season.

Roberts DESTROYED Gordon on a goal line attempt. They pulled him and Gordon scored next play. Don’t know why for the life of me that went down. But the hit was PHENOMENAL.

If anyone can find and post vids it’s definitely worth it.

Oh yeah, he hit him like a cruise missile, he went horizontal and just poleaxed him. That boy loves to hit people!

He did and absolutely crushed Gordon.

I believe the Pats players voted him the hardest hitter on the team or something like that.

LOL I’m sitting there with the remote and did a huge double take. Rewind and check it out!

Trey Flowers at today's presser.
Love the hoodie. The players are grinding the axe.

In the game vs KC at Gillette:

Jonathon Jones played 52% of defensive snaps,
Eric Rowe played 26% and
JC Jackson was inactive.

Jones hasn't played over 34% of snaps since week 9,
Rowe is on IR and
JC Jackson has become a starting CB.

Our secondary is far better now.
