Alex Smith is a legit NFL QB.

He's not elite, but there are like 5 or 6 guys who are. He's solid, and he can beat anyone when he has time to make good decisions.

Right, he's not flashy, but he's a LOT better/more consistent than a number of qbs who have played in SBs. His floor is very high, he's not going to help you lose 95% of the time.
