Gronk Retires

San Monson absolutely bodybags Borges.

“If you’re not voting for him your vote should go to the octopus that picks soccer matches.”

F'ing Brilliant ROFL

It was a great tribute from the Patriots. He'll be missed by a lot of those sick kids who he spent so much time with. He was born to do that kind of thing. Hopefully he keeps up the great volunteer work he did, he was always so generous in that regard, it was often overlooked about him.

I'll certainly miss those dirty. mischievous laughs he'd do at press conferences etc!

God bless Bill. What a great philosophy.

Urban Meyer once revealed a conversation he had with Belichick about his roster-building methods, and Belichick revealed it to be remarkably simple.

"He said: 'At this point in my career, I want to coach guys I like. I want to coach guys I want to be around, and that's it, and I'm not going to coach anybody else,'" Meyer said of his conversation with Belichick.

I have wondered about this aspect in terms of drafting. There must be times when BB interviews a prospect and they hit it off immediately.

Does said prospect rise up the board by a couple of rounds? "Gotta have that prospect", would only be human nature.

Gotta like him is for everyone. SO 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 Bill has to like them all. Then and only then (guessing here folks) he anayzes their skills, their usefull ness to the team, the cost to get him, all the usual stuff. But first, he has to like him.

Cheers

From beginning to end, his was a career for the ages. When he was on the field, there was a special excitement that anything could happen. Never expected a fail; always expected the spectacular.

Albert Haynesworth. Seymour. Bennett. Aaron Hernandez. Yeah, I dunno if I'm fully buying it...but, I read that article as well.

Why assume he didn't like them? it's possible Hernandez interviewed and showed himself well in front of Bill. Human beings are complicated, you may hate a guy but another person will like him. It's all subjective.

Yes, I'm sure that BB just loved Haynesworth...

There's this thing called taking a calculated risk on talented assholes. Sometimes the risk is worth taking.

Roll the bones and see what happens.

Why assume BB didn't like Haynesworth? Or are you just projecting?
