It isn't exactly the Herschel Walker or Ricky Williams trade but it is pretty bad.

Philly got back the first rounder they gave up for him and end up with a 4th (and please let's not say conditional. The condition is that he wins the NFCCG (3rd rounder) or wins the Super Bowl (2nd rounder.)

Kaepernick is kryptonite right now. No GM will touch him even if the 49ers offer to pay 90% of his salary this year. His contract is guaranteed for injury for 2017 which means the teams can't risk injury this year so the 49ers won't play him and probably won't allow him to even practice in pads.

Everyone involved with the Eagles? FO, fans, coaches, owner.

Spielman was between a rock and hard place.

The Eagles are the obvious winners of the trade but the Vikings would have been obvious losers if they didn't pull the trigger on a QB this year. The price was high but that's the going rate these days. Peterson is 31. The Vikings had no choice but to try and save their season.

He could have traded for Josh McCown, Glennon, Foles or some other qb...for much less.

They're probaby all around the same caliber too...

Yeah, it's a way better decision to spend a 1st round pick to lose with Sam Bradford as opposed to simply losing with Curtis Painter.

It's this. The Vikings are a good football team that was in danger of taking a huge step back without Bridgewater. Bradford's certainly not going to help the Vikings any, but he could potentially mind the store enough to get them to the playoffs. That's probably good enough to keep their train rolling.

We all forget, they beat Green Bay in that division last year. Straight up. It's not like they lost Aaron Rodgers for the year or something.
