495 is 18 minutes longer in a perfect World
I know how 128 can be when its bad and I anticipate that it be bad Friday afternoon.

Any North shore peeps out there?
What say you..........

128 has so many feckin exits
495 seems more relaxing/stress free

Hopefully hitting that area at around this time Friday.

495 all day long.

Do not under any circumstances come near 128 on a Friday. You've been warned.

6 in one half dozen in the other.

Either way, this time, Friday afternoon, trying to go anywhere is gonna be dreadful.

But if you have to pick your poison...495.

What going on in Vacationland? Anything good?

I take 495 every day from 3 in Lowell to 93, I guess that's Lawrence...

Just FYI, there's some road work going on where the left most lane is diverted to the other side of the highway. Always a back up there. After you get through it, it's not so bad, but it's there every day.

Still probably better than 128, just adding detail....

around this time I would be all over 495 I take either 495 or 93 N to get home (depending on what I hear the other is like) and I am on it at 4:30ish and sometimes that's not too bad. I work off of 128

so in closing

128. Went up to ME last Friday afternoon on 495 - the road construction delays were AWFUL.

Me too. There are Fridays when it takes me 45 minutes to get to the Pike off 128. Real time that trip should be 4 minutes.

The construction right after Route 3 is a pain in the arse, although if you're in the left lane, you can cruise in that separate lane once it splits.

128 is godawful because of the 93 merge up in Woburn.

Yeah, 495 can be a pain, but I would say that over 128.

maybe you should just go to Vermont.

I do that ride every Friday afternoon after 4 PM.
Trust me 495 is the way to go.

A little slow down in Haverhill, after that it's the indy 500 all the way to the Hampton Toll.

Aint gonna be in the left lane, towing a 25 foot box

Looks like 495 is the poison of choice

As a lifelong granite stater i say-True dat!

I wont go down the Cape anymore.

Between the traffic, and dickhead NY'ers, screw it. I'll go North anyday:thumb:

better than asshole NY'ers.

The worse are Quebecer's. Not all Canadians but just the ones with Quebec plates. Worse that Mass and NY put together.

Although I do have fond memories of summer beach flings with Quebec girls in my youth. But their driving sucks.
