Teh official Pats @ Cardinals Game Day Thread

My boss is a dolphins fan. I think I'll wear my jersey tomorrow to work.:coffee:

Bill is simply a cut above everyone else. From changing styles and adjusting time and time again. To choosing to build a team around tight ends and small slot receivers and paying less. To deferring and scoring before and after halftime. His drafting approach. I literally could go on and I really wish someone would in detail someday.

Once again out coaching another great coach and beating another great team. Forcing the Cardinals to do everything they didn't want to do. Like he does every week.

We were without arguably the goat QB and TE (and others) but that's ok because we have the goat Head Coach.

BTW if Jimmy plays like this we will have a 1st and mid round pick without a doubt.

This is why the Pats will always be a team to contend with as long as Bill is here running the show.

We will def. get a top pick maybe picks for Jimmy if he keeps it up. No other defense will be as good as Zona except maybe the Texans but we get them on the short week. :toast:

My gold stars for tonight:

JG-1st NFL start and looked legit.
White-Better than I thought he would do. (Blount breaks even on the night.)
JE/DA/Hogan-Killed it.
Mitchel-The rook came to play.
Bennett-Had a big first down, but blocked his ass off.
Defense-As a unit, they were nearly awesome. A few breakdowns, but great overall.
Ghost-Did his job well today.

What. A. Game!

FVCK YOU CARSON PALMER.
and a big FVCK YOU TO ROGER GOODELL.

This. :coffee:

I loved the interview with Jules after the game. To Brady: "Love you buddy, we're gonna get a few more for ya." :)

I have to say I've been giving White shit and he had a very nice game. He was decisive and ran with some great burst.

Bennett had an unbelievable game. He did indeed block his ass off. He tossed Okafor around on several occasions and made 2 big plays in the passing game. Also made a textbook block on Jones that was a terrible call. He couldn't have done it any better. That's exactly why you see tons of athletes take up mma training every off season. Leverage, balance, using someone's momentum against them and a solid base.

Malcolm came up big one that one catch. Very clutch. He'll have a fine year if healthy. Looked like a pro. Hogan/Edelman and Dola were great as well. All with big time rec's.

I thought defense looked very good for game 1. 21 to the Cards at home? Without half the team? On a short field a few times because of to's. Very happy. News flash to people...Larry Fitzgerald is a walk in HOF and probably top ten wr all time. Sometimes the other guy is good too, in this case great. Thought whole defense played very well.

Ghost clutch again

Josh and the staff helped Jimmy a lot but he played great for the situation and circumstances. He was accurate. Made tight throws. Mobile. Long scoring drives. Toughness. Not one "who was he throwing that to"?

Big win.

1 game lead on the 3 joke franchises that claim 'this is the year' every year

The best QB and TE in NFL history don't even get on the plane. The Patriots go -2 in turnovers and they still beat a trendy Super Bowl pick on the road.

Really proud of this team, what a fantastic win. Character and belief everywhere. Bill will be delighted the way his team showed up.

I was listening in the car on my way home...I work Sundays, so that sucks.

But when that kick went wide I let out a shout so loud I scared myself...and probably any wildlife that was walking anywhere near the road. Then without even thinking, followed that holler out with a nice loud "**** YOU GOODELL!"

I can't wait to actually watch the game. Thank goodness for DVR

It's really all about Bill. 46-11 against NFC teams since 2002 is an incredible record. Top of the heap in regular season road win games as well. He's 4 wins away from passing Curly Lambeau in regular season wins.

A coach who just gets it done. Gets an unfancied QB in Brady all those years ago and turns him into a superstar, did what he did with Matt Cassell when Brady went down and now he's doing the same with Jimmy.

This^

Our D is outstanding.

-2 TOs and still beat the #2 team of the NFC last year.

9.5 underdogs and still win.

This team is special. This coaching staff is outstanding.

4-0 with JG is within reach.

Think about it.....the top two teams in the AFC have defeated the top two teams in the NFC three straight times in the last seven months.

Let me see if I can name all 11 NFC losses after 02 without looking it up.
03-Redskins
04-0
05-Carolina
06-0
07-0
08-0
09-Saints
10-0
11-NYG
12-Sea, AZ, SF
13-Car
14-GB
15-Philly

I'm missing one.

Since betting is legal over here, I just want to say that Pats +9.5 was probably freeest money of all time. Padded my wallet nicely -- especially since I bet that, +7 and the ML.

Thanks to everyone involved!

All well and good, but you just can't beat that casino cash. :coffee:

Cheers
