We're impressed with how quickly HD became an expert egg roller!
He tests and adjusts nesting material, digs just a little bit to soften
the substrate, tucks the eggs beneath him, shimmies them into place,
and pulls the blankets up to keep the eggs warm and dry beneath him.
As HM and HD roll and shimmy, the eggs become stained with nesting
material and prey remains. Small splotches are normal and the eggs may
