Week 9 Gamete thread: @ Carolina

It took 2 days but radiographs and an MRI reveal that Sam Darnold has an incomplete fracture of his right shoulder blade. Out 3-4 weeks.

Darnold can't complete a fracture. How does Rhule expect him to complete a pass?

HC Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer, GM
** Trade a 2nd and a 4th for Sam Darnold instead of drafting Justin Fields
** Pick up Darnold's option for $20M
** Trade away Teddy Bridgewater
** Refuse to sign a decent veteran backup QB in preseason

Matt Rhule & Scott Fitterer are getting Matt Rhule & Scott Fitterer fired. Well deserved.

Question... Is it possible this diagnosis is a convenient way to prop up Darmolds value because the Panthers and Darnolds camp realize this is it for him in Carolina?
Sure. But his shoulder was hurt going into the game.

IF it was a dirty play with intent to injure, why would it matter if Mac thought he had the ball? If holding someone from recovering a fumble is legal, and tackling someone by the ankle is legal, why would it be a dirty play in one case but not the other?

There are 3 things wrong with this and I can guarantee this guy was never on a Pats draft board:

1. He doesn't know the rules. It's not illegal to hold someone back on a fumble.
2. He flopped and jumped up in the air, thinking he could draw a penalty, which means he's a wussy.
3. He has encouraged an injury to Jones as a bounty to other defenders in the league and he's still talking about this on Wed, leading into their game with Arizona.

For all the shots guys on offense take, man, these defensive players are pretty whiny! Not used to taking the occasional shot that they revel in dishing out...
