wife and I already agreed no presents other then something we both benefit from for the house. don't need anything and after years of struggling to "find something" or picking out our own thing, we give up. Kids are adults now so no need to "make sure they see us opening gifts from each other".
don't get me wrong, in the early days it was special, now it's a chore.

Learned a long time to give either money or gift card. She can buy her own thing. Anything that I buy her will just be returned.
That way everyone is happy. I hate shopping for gifts and she usually hates what I get her.
