At the TipRoast house, here's what we'll be having:

Green salad

Rib-eye Roast
Smashed potatoes
Green peas
Squash
Yorkshire pudding

Pumpkin pie with whipped cream
Flaming Irish coffee

We aren't doing anything. It's strange.
Can't be a California thing.

We're in Central Coast, but it's just three of us this year. One son is home with us, the other is up in Seattle (active duty Coast Guard).

Hope your holiday goes well, whatever you do.

My son is here for his first California Christmas. Usually, I go to Indiana. Fish tacos on the beach is acceptable Christmas fare, no?

Absolutely.

It's not well known, but fish tacos were served to the Three Wise Men when they were chowing down at the Bethlehem Drunken Wanderer Guest House.

No, not at all.

We usually go all out for Thanksgiving, 50 people at least, rent a hall.

Everyone is still recovering, lol. But at least my folks and sisters get together. But everyone has somewhere else they have to be. I volunteered to work that evening. Maybe I'll throwing something tasty in the crock pot so the family can still have something yumm.

Yours sounds delicious! Hope it all goes well! Gotta love some roast beast!

You forget to post directions to your house. :D

We are having a ribeye roast as well. Spiral ham. scallops and bacon. Mashed potatos. Green bean cassserole. Chocolate cream pie, pumpkin pie and a mystery pie...I'm thinking pecan cuz I saw a bunch of pecans. Martha Stewarts home made egg nog which uses a whole bottle of makers mark, half a bottle each of brandy and something else....white rum. You liteally scoop it in your cup cuz it's so fluffy...like homemade whipped cream (which actually goes on top of the bowl)

I can't f'n wait to CHOW!

Merry Christmas guys!
