What song or album title best describes you?

Very cool topic HS.

In my current delusional insanity 🤪 I would have to go with either Slayer's South of Heaven or Seasons in the Abyss.

For my lifetime it would be much more heroic but I'm having a hard time thinking one at the moment.

That's interesting BSF, even I'm the darkest realms and moments I always have in my heart and vision the greatness this world 🌎 ❤ and my fellow humans have to offer.

I've had many friends over the years that share the malevolent view view of existence encapsulated in the statement, "Life Sucks,".

Difference of personalities? Philosophies? Mindsets? I don't know, I just know I'm genuinely and generally happy.

Even I'm the darkest hole I find light.

I'll never end it, but, some days are dark. I do zoom out and look at everything objectively at the whole thing. Music let's you escape the temporary suck.

Just bein' real...

Willing to start again, willing to give another try
Willing to pretend but still so dead
Willing to comprehend, willing to give up all my pride
Willing to forget but still so dead

And it's starting to take its toll, it's starting to unwind
But the quicker that things unfold, the quicker that they subside
And writings on the wall but the walls have all come down
If you can't see past the truth, I love to let you down

Willing to walk again, willing to step back in the light
Willing to forget but still so dead
Willing to turn my head, willing to let my feelings slide
Willing to befriend but still so dead

And it's starting to take its toll, it's starting to unwind
But the quicker that things unfold, the quicker that they subside
And writings on the wall but the walls have all come down
If you can't see past the truth, I love to let you down

And it's complicated, it's complicated
Everything that I've known what was up is now down
And it's overrated, it's overrated
Everything that I know, I love, I love to let you down

And I love to let you

And it's starting to take its toll, it's starting to unwind
But the quicker that things unfold, the quicker that they subside
And writings on the wall but the walls have all come down
If you can't see past the truth, I love to let you

And I'm willing to start again, to give it another try
I'm willing to start

What fun! Great suggestion, HS!

Your answer begs the question, in what ways are you so unusual?

For me, there's no one song or album. I'd say there's a combination.
First Kid Rock's All Summer Long describe my teens & 20s. The first time I heard that song I thought it was written about me and my friends from HS through college. To a "T" and many fond memories of living on a lake, parties on the beach, drinking beer, endless fun and sex was driving it all.

Alabama Greatest Hits 2021. So many great songs that bring back strong memories for me of the slow, easy elegance and polite sweetness of growing up carefree in the South for a kid in the 60s and 70s. Now I listen nostalgically and think how I wish folks from other parts of the country, you know, those people who poke fun at Southerners, could experience what it's really like. I spent 3 weeks back home 2 years ago and, I swear, the easy elegance and gracious living is still alive and well.
Anyway, Song of the South, Mountain Music and Angels Among Us are a celebration of what made me.

That's enough for now.

I have multiple songs that really describe my life.

I can see for miles by the who represents my Relationship with my ex-wife.

In my teenage to early twenties years between 16 and 23. I lived life on the edge and if I died I died attitude. Stay the fuck out of my way. Kickstart my heart best represents those years.

I also had dark periods in my life and I think behind blue eyes by The Who nails it.

early childhood
The Who did it again
My mother thought I was autistic because I didn’t speak until the age of four but found out I had Einstein syndrome instead. IQ around 130. This song reminds me of my mind and body waking up from a early slumber.
Tommy (1975) - See Me, Feel Me / Listening to You Scene

To be continued

great stuff so far everyone!
@chevss454 , a few things...
when i was younger, my love of sports made me somewhat unusual for a girl
i'm an English major who loves science and mechanical stuff, which is why i love working in a facilities department
i don't care what's in fashion, i wear stuff i like, mix patterns, etc. and get my clothes from non traditional places(like the kids depts of stores).
i HATE driving automatic transmission cars
my best friend is a guy
i don't let "the norm" or groupthink define me or my thoughts or tell me what i should do
my dream jobs when i was very young were oceanographer or nhl hockey player. as i got older, nfl scout or another behind the scenes nfl role

that's good for now...😁

The answer would depend on the period of life in question.

I don't even know how to begin the list, but if I could it would like be so eclectic it would make little sense to anyone but me.
