Kraft to address the media

..........except for the one that was inside Bridget Moynahan when he left her high and dry.

You are a supreme asshole.

But be that as it may, he sure didn't leave his kid high and dry. He spends more time with his dad than he does with his mom.

With the exception of two teams (we see you, Johnson and Irsay) the owners don't hate the Patriots. Envy perhaps, but far from hate. The Pats are huge money makers for the league. Their games are consistently some of the highest rated, owner's stadiums are filled when the Pats visit, they get prime time games when they play the Pats. Every league needs a villain and the Pats are the perfect foil.

It would be impossible to find 24 owners who were willing to press the big red button and launch all out war against the Pats. They'd be lucky to get a handful of votes, never mind 24.

Um..Baltimore, Denver, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Miami... the list of potentially hostile owners is much longer than 2.

Well, they aren't forced to defend their honesty. They can forfeit their honesty by not defending it.

Really? By refusing to be baited into an argument to defend your honor, you automatically concede defeat or guilt?

What if others defend your honor for you?

I'm not comfortable enough with your last sentence to go there personally. To each their own.

I imagined this scenario last night:

We find ourselves in a federal courtroom and it's Brady vs. the NFL.

The NFL calls to the stand as a material witness James McNally. And....under oath......he flips on Brady.

Fvcking Hindenburg right there and it's not beyond all reason that it could actually happen.

A negative view? Sure is, but I'm trying to imagine the worst while hoping for the best. It's a coping mechanism.

This. I don't know if people are considering that "taking it all the way" for Kraft and/or Brady could have consequences. If one has unequivocal faith in Brady's full innocence, I guess that's not an issue. I'm not in that place myself though. Like you said, it's a matter of opinion.

The best way to fix this, to make it all go away for good, is to win. My way of coping through this has been to look forward to the hellfire that Brady is going to unleash next fall. If people want to believe that one PSI wins you Super Bowls, let 'em believe it, and win a couple more that are fully above all reproach, even for the most shitheady shitheads.

You're confusing the fan bases with the ownership. Perhaps Bischotti in Baltimore, but that's a stretch. There's no reported issues with the other teams you mention. The Pats have had no off-field run ins with them like they have with the Jets and Colts.

Now I'm sorry I brought that up. I don't think he'd lie in Federal court.

I do honestly believe that neither Brady or the chuckle heads did anything wrong. The PSI levels, when taking the differentials of the gauges into account during the pre game measurements, show it was a natural occurrence not a man made one. To me it's as simple as that.

But that doesn't mean the other owners don't value parity though. I'm sure they'd like a chance to win no? I do get the whole if it could happen to one it could happen to any mentality as far as the whole Roger argument goes, but that has nothing to do with other teams wanting a piece of the pie.

Forcing Kraft to sell the team is a vastly complicated and costly route to achieve parity and it's a dark tunnel that few would want to go down. The closest I can recall is the DeBartolo problems, but that involved a real crime being committed and the team still stayed in the family.

As far as on field success is concerned, 8 other teams won Super Bowls between the '04 and '14. And the rest of the league surely knows that the window is closing on the Brady era, so an inevitable down turn is due soon (unless BB strikes Gold again with Jimmy G).

Doesn't mean they can't threaten. They could threaten to make the team move, there are a whole lot of avenues the owners would have. Team owners may own the team but the NFL owns the trademark and all that goes with it. They could pull trade mark rights. Way back when i made mention that Cooperate has the right to take away your franchise tag. I gave GM as the example. When the government took over GM they told GM to revoke the franchise tags of certain dealers which they did. No buy back no nothing just a see ya latter letter. These business were forced to walk away and shut there doors. They did take it to court and lost. Not as far fetch as you would think.

If they'd like a chance to win maybe they should consider duplicating the Patriots' blueprint and/or taking the steps necessary to win.

This isn't 'everybody plays, everybody gets a trophy'.

So we are now the Iron Sheik? america.....huck-PTOOEY!!!

So who is the league's Hulk Hogan?

Um, Seattle? They got robbed by the Cheatriots on a play where BB must've known what play they were going to call through cheating.

Dallas? They're the downtrodden America's Team that are finally gonna rise up.

Green Bay? Rodgers is the plucky QB that would'a/could'a/should'a won it all last year if not for a bad leg injured by another WWF-cheating-criminal from Detroit.

Every decade 9in NFL history has had a dominant team. The Packers in the 60's, the Steelers in the 70's, the 49ers in the 80's, the Cowboys in the 90's, and the Patriots since '01. What makes it so different is the league's ridiculous stance on parity. You can provide equal opportunities, you can't guarantee equal outcomes.

Then why the salary cap? Integrity of the game a level playing field? Parity?

I agree it shouldn't be everyone gets a trophy but…….. it is what it is.

Some teams do it better. What's next, forcing teams to purposefully make bad draft picks or FA signings? No Cleveland, we're not going to let you make a stupid choice and draft Johnny Football in the first round. Green Bay, YOU have to take him.

If the owners are pissed off, they need to look no further than their own decisions. If you don't study, it's your fault when you flunk the test, not the guy who spent 2 weeks reviewing. But hey, that's society in general...nobody should be held personally accountable for their own stupid decisions, it's always somebody else's fault. In this case, it's those goddamn Patriots. It's just not fair that they do the little things better than everybody else and have a consistent system in place that works and they stick by.

I agree wholeheartedly I do. To the bolded part that my friend is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Maybe some owners truly think the Pats do cheat and thats how they've been so successful. I don't know to be honest. I do know success breeds contempt.

We've been back and forth and up and down this road, right? I believe that Tom Brady told these guys to get the balls where he likes them. End of story.

You believe he told them to get them down low, let some air out, I like them soft. Or something worse.

In my mind, there is not a chance in hell that Tom Brady told these guys to do anything that was an infraction of a rule. Nothing.

In any event, Mike & Mike show just said Brady is meeting with Goodell today. I'm not so sure I believe that, but Goodell is supposed to have a presser this afternoon, and maybe he'll have something to say. Who knows. I just don't believe anything that's on the media these days.

Lisa, we both hope Brady is innocent, but I'm being realistic here. There is no basis for you to claim he's 100% innocent except hopes and prayers because we don't have the full story yet. I've said since day 1 that somethign didn't feel right and Kraft flipping so quickly makes it even more likely they have something. Eventually everything will come out, but there's no way (except from being a fan) that you can say he's 100% innocent
