Looking at the Patriots - 2018

his momma's home cooking is that good!!!

Plus the end is near, he is setting himself up to be a local sports personality.

I don't blame him of thinking long term.

Pretty sure Irvin doesn't think forward...or backward. Just listen to the guy.

Also, I don't believe for a minute the Patriots offered more money.

Less money...yes.

Only Moss and Cooks were more effective targets than Gordon. Both had a full training camp (and OTAs) with Brady.

Interesting that he’s not far behind Cooks despite way fewer reps in this offense. And I think he brings something different from Cooks in that he sure does seem excellent at the tough catch in traffic, often knowing he’s going to get hit.

I love him so far and hope he keeps it going on and off field, and stays here a while.

AFC East starting quarterbacks:
30 year-old Ryan Tannehill OUT for the Dolphins.
22 year-old Josh Allen OUT for the Bills.
21 year-old Sam Darnold OUT for the Jets.
41 year-old Tom Brady just keeps on going like the Energizer bunny.

I like him much more than Cooks. He is still a little rusty, but, is looking good so far. He fights for the ball. Isn't soft.

^^^^ This. He is a fighter and should pay major dividends toward the end of the year.

i really don't get these rankings

lowest in completions, lowest attempts, lowest catch %, lowest first downs, middle of the road yards, ypa, and td but still is rated 3rd best?

should be moss-welker-cooks-gordon-lloyd and i could argue lloyd over gordon based on the huge diff in first downs.

I think the more that he plays with Brady, the better they will get...it feels that way imo.

Lol might want to look at the column on the far right to understand it

i saw the target rating and it appears to be just some made up bs because looking at every other metric on that chart there seems to be no correlation from actual you know - performance to target rating

ps thats why i questioned - still rated 3rd best that is the far right column...

sure whatever - i am not discussing gordon and his effectiveness ect, simply questioning the validity of the metric presented based on the stats in that chart.

OK...out of that list, who had a full season/pre-season? Fair question...

Also, It's obvious that Gordon is still a little rusty. He does need to be a bit more seasoned. He does miss a few catch/able balls. I never said otherwise.

That said, he still does look promising imo.

Yeah, that chart does not compute. The only way it makes sense is if you get rid of any stats that do not in some way favor the new JG.

Obviously it depends on which stats are given more weight. If target rating is similar to QBR then that INT hurts Welker and Flash’ extra TD helps him versus Lloyd. Plus his YPA is much better than those 2 so I’m guessing that’s a heavily weighted stat.

Hey Chevs, can you ask your insider why he’s picking the Steelers over the Patriots later this season?

Who are you talking about?

James White was doing well but who knew THIS well?
Is White the new Edelman?
