Week 2 - Pats @ Fins 9/15 1:05PM

While I would usually agree with you, there's something special going on down in Miami.

Yup. It's like the league always wants the Fins to beat the Pats in Miami. Like the game is fixed. 5 out of 6 years. Fumbles, int's, last year's fiasco...

Oh well, 18-1, with the one loss next week....

Miami gameplan: Fly in, punish them harshly and get out without injury.

Yeah, this. Compared to the Pats the Dolphins are a division 3 college team.

Get ahead far enough in the first half to let Stidham run the score up in the 2nd half.

I know we're the 2nd highest road team favorite in NFL history (18.5), but I would never recommend anybody bet the Pats in Miami.

Every goddamned year, save for a couple, we either lose or struggle to get anything rolling down there.

Since recent history is all anybody seems to care about, I'll say that when we played Miami in Foxboro last Sept. 30th the 38-7 final did not really indicate just how bad we beat them.

Nine weeks later down there it was a little different and Tannehill looked like a different QB and we lose on a fluke play, 34-33.

We might steamroll them next week, but you'd have to be a damn fool to actually give the points and bet real money on it.

I'll echo the thought that I wouldn't bet on this game for anything.

I will consider the possibility that Miami can't be a bad as week 1.

And add to that the certainty that they are well and truly pissed off and can't wait to take it out on the next opponent.

And yes I read about all their guys calling their agents and trying to get traded. It had the feel of the Tom Jackson they hate their coach baloney.

It wouldn't surprise me if BB loses next week...on purpose. :coffee:

...just to get the perfect season hype out of the way...

If this game was in Foxboro, I'd say that the Pats win 62 - 3.

Since it's in Miami.... Pats squeak out a win 17 - 14 in OT as we all suffer shock, white knuckles, and a few collective heart attacks along the way.

Nah, I feel like we'll have our stuff together in MIA. We just embarrassed the Steelers. The Ravens just embarrassed the Fins. We're feeling good. Plus the hype of AB. They're probably feeling like crap. We'd really have to shit the bed to lose this one.

I want to be worried, not be over confident, but I just can't help but feel this will be a major beat down.

I've learned a while ago that this is still the preseason for the Patriots. The season doesn't actually start until December. :D

Home field is on the line till its not. Need to take every game as serious as the next one...but yeah it does seem that way at times.
