Figured I would get this thread going given the 4 day turn around. Feel good about our D vs their O. Don't feel great about our O vs their D. Still very winnable but probably our toughest game left.

 

Is there an injury that could be affecting his throwing effectiveness?

OK. That's great, I think. But I have noticed that since his shoulder injury he has a hard time throwing right. Might be wrong though.

The pass protection issue was due to the Rams stellar line, you'ree not going to find any better front 7 player than Donald.

The Rams are going to give any team in the playoffs serious headaches. And Goff is even improving as well. I'd be very happy with McVeigh and what he's doing if I was a Rams fan.

 

Cam needs to get rid of the ball more quickly is what it comes down to with me.

I know Smith loves Cam but this is some serious cover for his buddy. Cam's throwing motion completely changed due to the shoulder injury. Cam even said this himself. This is why his trajectory is so low and at times he looks like he is throwing side arm. He also cannot throw the ball more than 50 yards in the air. We saw that vs Houston on the hail Mary when he only got the ball to the 10. Btw, none of this is a knock on Cam. The shoulder injury he had is very serious and can end the career. He has done well to be able to come back from it but he is not the same passer.

Cam has actually been pretty good with passes over 20 yards. I'll look up the stats if I have to but he has, if memory serves, been quite good at deep passes.

He has been very good with intermediate passes. I don't think it is an issue of strength but more erratic throws because of the shoulder. He has some high, some in the dirt. His passes to the sideline are sometimes inside which lead to picks. It is tough with the injury he suffered.

Actually, i've never gotten the impression he loves Cam. th biggest compliment i ever heard him pay Cam is that cam is the most athletic/phyically gifted qb he ever played with. he and Cam didn't always see eye to eye. The QB SS LOVES is Jake Delhomme. they are still friends. But i never saw the stuff you reference where Cam admits his injury is affecting him. where did you see/hear that?
