Mac Jones Is Our QB1

Trollin' Volin's Globe piece Monday morning had this headline: "Win for Belichick in this matchup" - and he hates Bill.
Yeah winning and losing is not what it used to be. Now days everyone gets a trophy. Pretty sure the Patriots lost the game. Pats fans used to sit around and laugh at moral victories that other teams would do. Man how times have changed.
Hey we didnt lose by a lot so that means we won!!! Yay!

I have not seen anyone say they are happy with losing, we are happy that we actually feel like we have a quarterback for the future since last season all seemed lost. Maybe for once you can just zip that lip and roll over and zip that lip Mazz has so we can all talk in peace and see how this turns out. However I know that wont happen so 🖕

It depends on how far back you go. 1990? 91? Hugh MIllen anybody? Yep any victory was a moral victory. Hell even 2000, we were getting blown out, the Pats punt, Larry Whigham flies down the field, catches the punt, throws the ball at the punt returner then proceeds to tackle the returner..lol That is a moral victory, it shows the fight he had. I wasn't happy we lost, however, I am happy to see the defense start to come together and Jones really looks to be the heir apparent at QB for us. So yep, it's a moral victory for me. If Harris didn't fumble against Miami and Folk hits that FG in the waning minutes of the game, we're 3-1. It's not a victory but there are postivies to take away from these losses.

And quit sending me PM's that say no. Nothing you say matters, you are just typing stuff to piss people off cause you are just that guy

Funny I think I said that before. No, I am allowed an opinion, you are not anything special. I just find it hilarious how giddy this board is over a loss....and when I say this board I mean this board. You people are in a world of your own. I would say congrats on the loss, but losing sucks for pats fans who still like winning.

Above is the PM. Honestly I'm scared to have anything private with this fool soo I figured I would share it
Losing is just as much part of the game as winning is, imo. Compared to last year, the passing game looks pretty good. Now what would be great is if we could get the passing game AND running game going at the same time..lol

Imagine Mac's passing stats if he had legit receivers who can separate and catch

OT is at the top of my wish list for this off season but a faster WR is a close 2nd.
I truly think the separation thing gets better as the year goes on, while those two learn the offense.

Meyers isn't having that problem.

Also, Mac Jones still needs to fully learn the offense. Guys are running open, and he's just not seeing them.

Am I the only one tired of the "theory" that Mac has a "Low Ceiling" ?
if the talking heads think "low ceiling" means he can't run like Lamar Jackson then I'm ok with that.
he's played 4 games? looks like he is learning. hasn't gone deep much but with the current O-Line it's been limited chances to allow a receiver to get more then 10 yards down field.

lets see at the end of 14 games and see how that ceiling is looking.

He will never be as "exciting" as Mahom-boy but Brady isn't either... he just wins. if Jones can be a solid field general (not "game manager", I hate that term) I'll be good with that.

Trey Lance, Justin Fields and Zach Wilson have the potential to be more exciting but lets see who wins more games (and lets be fair and give those in tough spots today... Wilson, Fields and Lawrence) a few years to see how their teams improve, and how much they improve their teams.

He's not seeing them because he's seeing DL and LB in his face.
