Week 4 2022 Pats at Packers

Don't put words in my mouth. All I said is that is could have been better...and it could have.

Where is Jennings at?
Getting more snaps than any LB except Bentley, Judon, and Tavai, and significantly out snapping Uche for the 2nd consecutive week?

Every draft in history could be better.

Didn't say that. Would love to have better coverage LBs. But as Flag suggested, not perfect of course, but I'm pleased, so far, overall, with the draft. But we all know that 4 games is way to small a sample. 3-4 years before final judgement.

PS as a well known member very recently suggested, no need to put words in my mouth.

Cheers, B/S/F :toast:
I'm an admitted perfectionist (it's a good and a bad thing). I do like the Pats last few drafts...but, they could all have been better. ;)

At least they never drafted Richards, Harry, or, some other bustaroo...

I really want Thornton to thrive in NE!

Yup, those 3 runs into the pile were dumb. Being that close to the win and not going for it was borderline "pussy" ball. Imagine how the team would feel today if they got that win by going for it. Fuck this moral victory bullshit, they should have had the ACTUAL victory

With a rookie QB in a hostile environment with a future HOF QB on the other sideline?

I feel they handled it just fine. Yeah, I would have loved the victory. But had they put Zappe there, he throws a pick 6 and crushes the kid, I bet the forum would implode with people bitching about that decision.

The gameplan was conservative all the way and Pats stuck around. This is no moral victory, but definitely makes the following games worth looking forward to.

Of any Patriots draft pick, I was sure Uche was going to be a stud.
And remember one of the PFF guys drooling over him especially to the Pats.

Does Rodgers have the mange?

Obviously, I like the last two drafts for the Pats...hopefully they keep up the good work!

Agree. I would put up the last 2 drafts by Groh/Wolf up against any team in the league, they have been top5 drafts in my opinion. But still need another great draft in 2023 to make up for the 7 years of crappy drafting before Groh/Wolf.

That 2019 draft looks like BB's worst since his first year as HC, Wynn is a scrub and everyone else was terrible as well.

Consistently great with the useful stats, thanks for sharing.

I was not pleased when the Pats passed on NT Davis or FS/DB Dax Hill in the 1st round of the draft, but over time this draft looks better and better getting multiple decent players instead of just 1 guy. I still don't know who Thornton bumps though, there's so much $$$ tied up already to WR/TE on this team that someone expensive will end up benched if Thornton is as good as people think. That, or you just piss off Bourne at which point we should just trade the guy even though he's one of the team's 2 best receivers.

.

Totally disagree
The Packers did win in the end, and they are better than the Patriots, so what part of that do you disagree with? (You said you disagreed with my whole comment).

IMHO they weren't the better team. Total disagree on that part. I thought overall they matched up well. And one flag here or one TD that wasn't one it be different. Just my opinion.

Refs call the blatant hold on Agholor in OT and the Patriots likely win that game.

If the Pats played more to win instead of not to lose they probably win the game.

This game was fun, but let’s be real. If these teams play the packers win 8 of 10 times. The Packers were sleeping on the Pats for obvious reasons.
It’s always fun seeing Rodgers throw a pick six, but there’s no moral victory to take from this loss.
The Patriots are a bottom third NFL team. Yes BB can coach a pile of dog S***** better than anyone. He’s also better than most coaches at accumulating that pile.
I hope he retires and let’s someone else other than fattie Matty run this rebuild.
