My husband has dubbed Isaiah Wynn "Herpes" - the penalty that keeps coming back. He's not wrong.
It's confusing that they went out and spent on those 2 and have barely used them.I’ve been clamoring for Jonnu and Hunter to be central players in the offense since they were signed.
I don’t care what his stats were, Jonnu clearly has the athleticism to be a top 5-10 TE in the league. He’s a beast with the ball, and very fast for a TE.
Feed him and Hunter all game long.

Henry, to my eye had a very good year last last year including what, something like 80 targets and no drops, not to mention being quite good in the redzone.
Jonnu struggled all of last year and we all saw it and many of us scratched our heads wondering on the why of it.
That they, both, very capable TEs have gone dark this year which is seemingly schematic is the mind bender here, especially with a great running game and quality and developing young quarterback.
I haven't looked at any film or anything, but if I were to guess when it comes to Henry is he's forced to block so much more this season with the pass protection being so bad.Henry, to my eye had a very good year last last year including what, something like 80 targets and no drops, not to mention being quite good in the redzone.

I agree, there is far better offensive talent on the team than what the production is showing. The coaching and scheme is not getting the most out of the talent and it's pretty clear to all of us to see. When we at home can call out the plays before the snap, you can be darn sure the opposing teams can.I haven't looked at any film or anything, but if I were to guess when it comes to Henry is he's forced to block so much more this season with the pass protection being so bad.
Extremely damning video by Orlovsky showing the amateur offensive staff with Mac’s QB dropbacks completely not even synced up with the WR routes. No question now it’s crappy offensive coaching from Judge, Rothstein, and Patricia.

Orlovsky is who again?
Is he that TV cat begging for an Offensive Coordinator job?

I think Orlovsky is over simplifying and dramatizing here with a dash of cherry picking thrown in. Issues? Yes, but they're not as pervasive as he makes it appear.
Part of a receiver's job is to be ready for the ball when & where the QB needs to deliver it. That means he's gained some separation, he's where he's supposed to be and he's paying attention so the QB knows he can throw the ball without worry of an int. Meyers shines at this. All that is on the WR. Everything speeds up and often breaks down when the OL can't protect well. QB protection is critical. Give Mac 4 secs of a clean pocket and he'll complete almost every pass. Timing takes practice.
Spacing, otoh, is normally on the play designer and should have been worked out in TC and preseason games. What I'm seeing is receivers who aren't consistently following the play design which causes the spacing issues. That's on the coaches rather than on the play design. That should be able to be fixed, first in the classroom with some individual testing and then on the field with full speed practices to get the QB and WRs on the same page consistently. I'm sure every team works on syncing, timing and spacing every day in practice.
