AB to the pats?!?!? Is this April fools?

I guess I missed the hashing out. One big question is why is NFL doing a civil investigation since this would be a precedent where an accuser can go straight to the NFL as judge and jury ...

Then presumably increase the likelihood of civil settlement as the NFL becomes avenue for wronged women.. they won't have any time next year for schedule or rules questions...:huh:

And they (complainant) would thereby avoid compulsory deposing under oath.

Cheers

It's like being forced to watch a comedian that's not funny so you can see the headliner. I know we can block posters, but can we block any content that contains the name Antonio Brown or the initials AB? jk

I know you said just kidding...but here's a thought...don't read it. See how easy that is?

Ego?

After the Ray Rice calamity if the NFL powers that be had any hubris they would have had a press conference saying they are not skilled or equipped to handle criminal/civil investigations and moving forward will be reliant on the reports of the trained professionals of public office coupled with intense player interview by a selected board of former players, coaches, and ownership representatives.

Or better yet, said that they're not a replacement for or supplement to the criminal justice system, and that moving forward they were going to only investigate and penalize infractions of the rules of the game itself, rather than civil or criminal matters.

If your policy is that you're focused on the football, and you'll let the court system handle matters suitable for the court, you won't get it wrong every time and have your feeble and fundamentally limited (since you know they're not actually law enforcement) investigation picked apart time after time.

It wouldn't be a popular stance, but in my opinion it would be the correct one.

Thanks Adam...! Finally some good news..! :tmack:.

Except the last part about the investigation. So it is still a disconcerting unknown.

Not that easy because he is mentioned in just about every thread at the moment, including the Dolphin game thread, etc. But I appreciate the helpful suggestion. I would have never thought of that.

No, you'd rather just let everybody know for the umpteenth billion time how much you hate the guy and how much you hate that he's with the Pats.

Maybe you could post another poll? Got to be some other way you can express the same sentiment that you haven't already thought of.

should we pre-poll if we want a poll on it.

I bets memberless members may be more inclined to like poles than membered members

Probably not the smartest purchase

I dunno. All the rest of the league, and their fans are having emotional breakdowns.

Cheers

The DBs are liking what they from Brown as well.

People may forget that, amongst all the craziness from AB at times, he has always been a seriously hard worker and loves the game. That's the one constant you'll hear from coaches and other players.

That work ethic will mean he'll very quickly be absorbed into the Patriots culture.

Gordon, Brown, Jules, Dorsett, Meyers.....this is serious s**t!

Another good idea! And then I can do a Facebook live about it too. :coffee:

You all know how I feel I guess. I'm done posting about it for now. Let's see how this all plays out. I'm sure he will be amazing. You've convinced me.

That is how I look at it. Other fans are beside themselves over this. I mean they really are mad. One even threatened to shoot up people. When people are that mad....Patriots are doing something good. It is amazing how moral people get when its the Patriots that have the so called moral issues.

Richard Seymour was an asshole and a half...and he was great here.

As long as he does his job, it'll be worth the sign.
