Amendola...

Just a question not a suggestion. Would you rather have DA or Cole Beasley? Beasley seems like a perfect fit. Now if I were to suggest a wr I would go balls out for Golden Tate. Tireless worker, makes tough catches in traffic, & a good blocker. I think he is a total Patriot. That's just me though.

Beasley would do well in NE...

If this is a full load-up, which is what it looks like, yeah.

I’d rather go with the guy that IS the perfect Patriot vs the guy that seems like one.

DA would be far cheaper than the others too. More $ for Flowers/Brown.

In their prime, Anendola. No doubt. But he’s getting old and was always injury prone. So right now Beasly. Unless Danny is coming back for the minimum or a very team
Friendly deal.

JE, Gronk, Bennett maybe, DA, Michel/White/Burkhead, Gordon reinstated, Berrios, and at least 1 high ranked WR draftee.

Brady could be filthy with that.

Watching Brady throw so much to Edelman (and then Gronk) in the postseason, I think he'd welcome Amendola as a target. He's was always so clutch in the postseason. But on the other hand, the running game was on all cylinders this past season, and DA left for more bucks, and seemed a little miffed at the Pats. Maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea. I'm a little intrigued at the idea of trading for the Giants' Bekham. He's so talented...but a little (I stress a little) unbalanced. And is Gordon going to be available?

How can it hurt to sign Amendola? if he's amenable to coming back, do it! But I have to admit, I don't really care at this point. I'm still running on the fumes of a certain recent championship. The team's 6th. And Brady's going to be 42...look out cliff...he's inching closer! I guess, give him his Amendola binky- he likes the comfort of Edelman and Amendola

I would sign him, but only if it’s near the vet minimum with incentives.

He is getting older and probably won’t be healthy for 16 games plus the playoffs unless he is carefully managed.

He would be great to have in the post season though!!

I think you've got to give Danny the benefit of the doubt.

Doubt being whether his age, he'll turn 34 in November, will obviously rob him of his edge and make him more ordinary, but he was part of the Brady three with Julian and the challenge of getting back to peak effectiveness for another season might very well be what he needs. And what we need.

I'd like a young, talented guy that can handle a full season to add to the mix, but I've seen Amendola give us too many clutch plays and too many moments of pure heart and dedication as a Patriot to not want him back.

Hopefully Danny comes back on a team friendly deal and tears it up down the stretch. He was huge when it mattered, so no doubt I'm pumped about the thought of him coming back.

I'm thinking back on all the balls thrown to Hogans in the PO last year, and then remembering how DA was in the PO when he was here. He is welcome.

Of these 2 choices, the answer is Beasley. Push the EZ button. But why not both?

The memory of Danny sitting in the back seat with Mike Reiss calling BB an asshole is still lingering in my mind. Other things were said that Mike was reluctant to broadcast.

Beasley is younger, stronger and faster. All he needs is time to sync with Brady. It's true Beasley has said he wants $20M guaranteed over the life of the contract to stay with the Cowboys but that's over a 4-5 year period. You also have to realize Beasley was angry with the 'Boys for a diminished role because of Amari Cooper's arrival when he said it. After all, he had been the Cowboys' most trusted target since 2016. He's a blue collar worker; he's not a prima donna. Beasley's catch rate of 93% is fantastic - his catch rate is better than De'Andre Hopkins' catch rate of 88.5% and Hopkins was widely considered the best WR in 2018. Beasley is a good accomplished slot receiver.

There are others BB could sign: Adam Humphries, Donte Moncrief and Golden Tate come to mind. Berrios is waiting in the wings. The draft could bring a less expensive option and we all know BB likes that idea.

The best slot receivers from this draft, to name a few:
The best route runners are: Hunter Renfrow, Marquis Brown and Penny Hart.
The most athletic: Marquis Brown, Mecole Hardman and Andy Isabella.
The best hands: Hunter Renfrow, Ryan Davis and Mecole Hardman.
The best YAC: Brown, Hardman and Hart.
The best blockers: Hardman, Hart and Davis.

There are plenty of options from which BB can choose.

Pats getting younger. It's for the best imo.

$4.5M base salary from the Lions for DA.

LOL

Good. I had zero desire to bring him back here when the money could be better spent on a Beasley or Tate. Danny's done
