Ravens veteran free-agent defensive tackle Arthur Jones is off to a fast start leading up to the signing period that starts Tuesday.
Under NFL rules, teams are allowed to talk with players' agents in advance of Tuesday and may discuss contract parameters without formally agreeing to terms.
Jones has already drawn interest from the Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings and other NFL teams, according to league sources.

Bad news.

Vontae Davis is one of the big name corners available in free agency this offseason and he is expected to sign on with some team as free agency starts on Tuesday, but that team is not expected to be the Indianapolis Colts, per Pro Football Talk.

It doesn’t look like he will be re-signing with his former team and someone else will be picking up his services for the corner position. There are a number of teams that are in need of a corner and Davis is one of the biggest names that is available.

Which team won this bidding war? Could it be the San Francisco 49ers? They just made some room on their roster with the release of Carlos Rogers. They freed up some cap space and a roster spot for him. They are a team that makes sense for his services.

We will have to wait until Tuesday to see where Davis ends up signing with

Dude, Isn't that "good news"?

Vontae Davis was close to signing w/ the Colts until the JETS showed up for the party.

Adam V signed to a 2 year deal. No details on $$$ yet.

If he plays both of these years (and if my math is right) he will tie his time in NE, with ten years each on two different clubs. Wonder if THAT's ever been done.

Cheers

Not sure but if he plays that contract out I think that means his career will be evenly split between NE and Indy.

Pats '96-'05 (10 seasons), Colts '06-'15 (10 seasons), right?

'Course, the "good" years were here.

Missed it by that much...

Astute observation, you're clearly a genius.
