Looking at the Patriots 2023

No one wants this contract and give up draft choices, except the Bills and Chiefs. Who gets screwed to bring a Diva aboard? Please explain how they can turn this salary into a bonus and not rewrite about ten other contracts? Amazing what a falsehood the CAP actually is.

They'd have to rewrite a new contract to turn salary to bonus. The Cards already paid the $10.65M roster bonus this year on 3/20/23. It was a badly designed contract. Dead cap now is $22M.

But only if you can spin it sidewise or negatively.
I'll do my best.

With all the talk about needing tall and long-armed DBs, freaking BB just let the Vikings steal the only tall, long-armed DB on the team who just happens to be one of the most veteran DBs we have. BB just had no clue how to use Williams who rarely saw the field once he got into BB's doghouse fopr some trivial offense. Obviously Belichick is ignoring the defense and letting it fall apart while he focuses on trying to fix the offense he destroyed. Kraft has him on a short lease and it's unlikely BB will be with the team when training camp rolls around. No beating Shula's record now, not that there was ever a chance of that once we learned the real reason BB won those superbowls.
