I am with TipRoast on Winslow Homer. Also, Remington sculptures.

I love that Renoir.

My favorite is Christie Repasy...an artist from Southern Cal. But she paints purdy flowers and girlie stuffs so I won't bore all you guys with it. :)

I LOVE Renoir the first painting I ever "appreciated" as a kid was this:

But I don't care how trendy/pop it is I wept the first time I saw Starry Night live.

I love SO many artists from Van Gogh to Warhol..yes Warhol. Wasn't a fan til I saw a live travelling exhibit it is a MUST to see the paintings in person to really get it.

I am also a HUGE Chagall fan but NOT the goat type paintings..more of his lesser known stuff I got to see at a comprehensive exhibit in San Fran and cannot find ANYWHERE.

what can I say...I'm a sucker for the classics:

Too many to name...but

I lean toward the moderns beginning with the Impressionists, ( Degas statues too), Fauvists, Cubists
etc. Some NY modern's like Gottlieb. Also, Paul Klee. Modigliani and Klimt. I do love Homer's watercolors too. Older styles...just a few but more their drawings and studies.
Ingres, DaVinci and Michelangelo and Vermeer. I also love primitive and folk art. The Matisse reminds me of those. And Art Noveau.

I'll post one of my all time faves here—Matisse
