Patriots vs Browns :Sunday at 1:00pm Game Thread

The first seven draft picks from the 2022 draft played in today's game.

R1 (29) — G Cole Strange, Chattanooga
R2 (50) — WR Tyquan Thornton, Baylor
R3 (85) — CB Marcus Jones, Houston
R4 (121) — CB Jack Jones, Arizona State
R4 (127) — RB Pierre Strong Jr., South Dakota State
R4 (137) — QB Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky
R6 (183) — RB Kevin Harris, South Carolina

Is this a case of the coach trying to make the GM look good by putting those players on the field, or the GM making the coach look good by giving him a bunch of NFL-ready players?

The way these guys played today says everything

19 carries, 70 yards for the Browns today. 2.7 YPC. Maybe avoid this windmill today.

Today’s not the game to talk about this but Nobody ever includes QB missed sacks to twist the rushing totals and averages like this. Chubb still ran for 5 yards a carry all game.

24/34, 309 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Five receivers with 4 receptions. Three receivers with 60+ yards.

Zappe impressed again. His pocket awareness is not a fluke and you cannot teach that.

Smartest QB in his draft class

I know it could be said about 10 other seasons but if BB takes this roster all the way to #7 it would be his great achievement since 2001
