KC gave up their 1st, 3rd and 4th this year and a 5th next year. They got back a 2nd this year and a 6th next year plus Orlando Brown.
Here's my question - why didn't Reid/KC just draft an OT with 31 in this draft deep of OTs and keep those other 3 picks they gave the Ravens?

Brown got his wish and played the Ravens/Harbaugh and I'm always good with that.
This is a major over reaction to the SB loss.
They should have just drafted an OL at 31 but they are panicking with Mahomes getting hurt again.

They completely reb
They completely rebuilt that o-line Brown, Thueny & Blythe & Long. Brown's a 2x pro bowl Tackle. They got enough 2nd round pick in deal.
They did and they will also be the most expensive OL when they pay Brown next year.

and only mahomes had anything to do with winning the ring. hence my reluctance to draft one in the first, though with the rookie salary structure, it is much more palatable

Drafting a QB in the 1st in a QB rich draft is fine. Betting the farm to trade up on said QB, I'd be against it.

What's weird is the stat had Gabbert and Wentz??? They were back-ups. Should we count Jimmy then. He has two. LOL

It also took Petyon 8 years to win his first ring. A more telling stat is starts and wins by first round selections. The gap is enormous.

Edit: All of the QBs Brady beat in the SB were also first round selections except for Wilson (Ryan, Goff, Mahomes).

Smith had a pretty interesting career and an unusual one. He was the Niners' overall one in 2005 in the famous "Aaron Rogers is sliding" draft. His first 3 seasons in SF he threw 19 TDs and had 31 picks. That's a long way from the image he eventually earned as a careful game-manager sort of QB, but it took him quite a while to figure out that he wasn't a gun-slinger.

He played well and helped beat us in important games a few times and had my respect. The guy could dink and dunk you to death. Not many guys have that kind of start to their careers and are able to turn it around.
Almost none.

Bridgewater to the broncos for a 6 round pick.
Got to be kidding me. I’d take him everyday over Cam. I don’t see a QB for the pats in this draft, and he could at least let guys in the offense develop over the next few years.
I’m not trying to hate on Cam I love his attitude, but one year was enough.

I find that Bridgewater to the Donk's very interesting.... but it still wouldn't surprise me if either donks or Panthers took a QB if one falls to them.
I'm getting the feeling 9ers taking Lance and keeping Jimmy G

I was just listening to Mad Dog Sports on Sirius and a caller had an interesting take, based on some stuff that supposedly came from Schefter:
Bronco's wanted Jimmy G but 9ers were only trading him if they took Mac Jones (I can see that, seem like we think if the take Mac Jones then JG might be available)
Bronco's have a history with Shannahans [sic?] and got the word - or strong impression - 9ers are going Lance so no Jimmy G trade. thus Donk's move on Bridgewater

there was more about Panthers liking Stidham as a backup to Darnold (that part seems to stretch credibility) unless Panthers and Pat's are working a trade and Stidham is part of it.

Could also be the no trade clause rearing it's head.... Money talks and if the broncos aren't offering enough, jg could kill a deal

Bridgewater is on the same level as sCam, but, more fragile. I don't mean that Teddy can run the ball as well as sCam can, I meant equally as bad as each other as far as not being good. No thanks.
