In retrospect, the title "Lost" refers more to the lost souls of the characters than it does to being physically lost.

I guess "live together or we die alone" turned into "live together and we'll die together... kinda..."

The LAX timeline was "purgatory" of "limbo". They intentionally made it non-denominational with the stained glass window behind Jack at the church where he and his father spoke. You could see a Islamic crescent, a christian cross, a buddhist mandala, etc.
Don't forget the donkey wheel ROFL

I thoroughly enjoyed this show...and the ending was about as good as you could hope for in a show with so many "questions" and expectations for the final episode.

I was a Jack fan during the show. You know when people were all picking people to root for (some loved Locke, Sawyer, Sayid etc.). I know--shocker--I rooted for the eventual ultimate protagonist.

I was always like, "If I were ever plane-wrecked on a mysterious island with mystery, intrigue and douchey natives, I think I'd do the same."

Live together, die alone muthafruckers.

I would not offer to watch my own appendix removal though. I have to draw the line somewhere. :coffee:

Hmmmm.... I'd have to say that if I was stuck on an island I'd prefer Sawyer over Jack.

Dealing with Mr. High and Mighty I Know Best I'm In Charge would get a little tiring after, say, a day.

If I'm stuck on some fricken island I want fun and sarcasm and kick your ass if you get in my face.

Besides... Jack never made a real move for Kate. Now Sawyer....

Yeah, Sawyer is my boy.

And Sawyer wasn't a complete asshole. He did care about the people. And he did love both Kate and Juliet. So he could be the good guy when it was on the line.

The best of both worlds.

:hump:

Perhaps he didn't on the island, but he obviously did when they got off the island as the "Oceanic six". The whole series of flash forwards showed them after their breakup.

Yes, off the island they were engaged and all that.

But on the island, he didn't make his move.

So, if I'm stuck on an island, on top of finding sarcasm sexy and bossiness unsexy, I'd want the guy who's going to make his move. :)

See now, I've thought of this many times. Lol.

When Jack smiles it just makes me hawter then when Sawyer does wuv

Pretty funny too.

GTFO with the LANDING done by Sully, that wasnt a CRASH

Here's Vozzek's Things I Noticed for the finale, and his "AfterThoughts"

Long (the first, anyway), but well worth the read.

But it drives me crazy that he continues to assert that Richard is supposed to be "He who will save us all" when that line clearly referred to Jacob. It was the answer to the riddle: "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" What was there? Jacob and his loom. Simple.

He gets more subtlety than I did by a long shot, but that one jumps on your foot to get your attention, and he continually goes the other way with it.

Anyway, here's a bit from the first couple of paragraphs, addressing the ending generally:
I've often said that LOST is a perspective-based experience, and the series finale proved this point more than anything. For some people, they simply need more. They yank down on the lap bar in frustration, defiantly hoping there's something else to this ride. Maybe they expected a full disclosure of the island's blueprints, or comprehensive answers to everything. Or perhaps the answers they got weren't satisfactory to them, or the story's conclusion didn't fit their preconceived mold of how the show would end.

If there's one thing everyone should realize by now, it's that all of this is totally okay. We knew from the very start that this would happen - that no single ending would satisfy everyone. It should be no surprise that some fans absolutely loved the conclusion of LOST, while others felt sad, angry, or even cheated by how things played out. For those people I can't help but feel a bit sorry, and I sincerely hope they don't let it spoil their overall ride.
He then goes into more depth through the finale sequentially, though with less depth here than in prior editions, since there's nothing left to really predict as much as interpret.

Enjoy if you're still interested. If you're still interested after reading this (his afterthoughts were not all that great, BTW), you should search by things I noticed and episode title to find his other stuff. Some of it was eye opening.

Yeah, I'm heterosexual and have a penis. Sarcasm and 'sexiness' aren't high on my survival list. I'll chill with the guy stitching people up and sharing the antibiotics instead of holding them hostage.

EDIT: Check that, I'll beat the bitch holding the survival kit hostage. Like your boy said, "It's Lord of the Flies time now..."

Wow, a whole 12 minutes of bonus material..

Here's a description from someone who's sen those 12 minutes and a bit of the video.

Herc, Harry,

I'm a long time reader of the site and an editor at Lostpedia.com. I've seen the 12 minutes of new LOST footage appearing on the s6 DVD.

Below are my notes from watching the video. It does a good job of answering nearly all unanswered question - certainly all the major ones.

**SPOILER WARNING**

NOTES AND COMMENTS:
* denotes answers to outstanding mysteries.

"I'm from the home office." "There's a new man in charge."
Ben's here to tie up a few lose ends. (He's talking to you!)
Is Ben wearing a Hawaiian shirt under his coat? :)
The warehouse workers are named Glenn and Hector according to the credits.
*The palettes were loaded from Guam and sent to various coordinates sent by the teletype.
*Teletypes comes automatically from the The Lampost in LA, which tracks the Island's movements.
"Wait, you can't just walk out of here! We deserve answers!" Sounds like he just finished watching the finale.
Station 1 is The Hydra, used for animal testing.
"I will have to resort to using an alias." LOL
The blonde with clipboard looks a lot like Libby...?
DHARMA had a mouse maze similar to Daniel's in Cambridge.
A diver walks by, probably for the shark tank (presumed, seen in video game) or The Looking Glass.
*The Hurley Bird was a subject of genetic engineering and a hybrid of some type.
*Polar bears were for electromagnetic study.
Pierre Chang wasn't the only DHARMA member to loose an arm.
"I repeat: The bears are not your friends." LOL
*The collar Charlotte found in Tunisia on the polar bear skeleton was a tracking device.
*Electromagnetic effects of The Orchid have "extremely harmful effect on early term gestation".
*Room 23 is used for interrogation and memory wiping.
DHARMA believes the Hostiles are the Island's indigenous population.
DHARMA thinks Jacob is the Hostile's deity.
*Room 23 drugs + video creates amnesia in subject to erase memory of being interrogated.
Room 23 brainwashing is critical, otherwise they'll learn that DHARMA was violating their truce.
"I think we are going to need to see that again." Locke said this immediately after watching The Swan orientation video in The Orientation, ep 2x3.
*Walt is in Santa Rosa under the alias Keith Johnson, the son of Kevin Johnson (aka Micheal's alias on the freighter).
Walt is playing Connect 4, like Hurley in eps 1x18 and 4x01.
Connect 4 has 42 spots (6x7). (The Numbers)
Chalkboard drawing of the Island behind Ben.
"Because you're special." "We need you." "You have work to do." Heard that before.
Walt has to help his dead father, presumably to escape being a Whisper trapped on the Island, so he can move onto the afterlife.
Ben shares a granola bar, similar to Ben and Hurley sharing a candy bar outside Jacob's cabin.
Ben's driving the DHARMA van! LOL
"I'd like to talk to you about a job." This one doesn't come with a 401k, but you get a lighthouse and a donkey wheel.
Ben drove away down the wrong side of the road?

If you use this, call me DharmaTel.

Namaste.
