The Official Super Bowl 54 Game Thread

Yup those were the two key moments down the stretch and coaching was a big contributor to that meltdown.

Sucks for JG but I don’t really care that KC won. Other than the media getting to suck off Mahomes even harder now but oh well.

He could have played better especially at the end. He looked nervous. By the way they gave Mahomes supebrowl mvp with a 78 Qb rating, is that the lowest ever for that award?

Nobody here won a thing...so, not sure why anyone would ever be happy.

The NFL must not like the York family... :coffee:

Congrats to the child beater and women abusers...I guess?

Halftime Show was 4/10. At least they didn't make it political. But instead of these godawful urban/pop acts they need to bring in some real talent next time...like some legit rock bands. Let them put on a rock show.

As for the game... what a joke. Refs were atrocious like usual.

And the Niners, when they weren't getting screwed ended up shitting the bed when it counted. They had it but couldn't keep it. It'll probably be another 8-10 years before they make it back. Sickening.

Why is the narrative now that Andy Reid is a lock for the HOF? It's bizarre. He needs to win a couple more before that debate starts.

J Load looked fat.... and skanky.

Team Shakira all the way..

I'd do both...they aren't that hot, butt...they're porn star decent.

JimmyG fucked up, but, his coach REALLY fucked up...the mob central may have told them to do that though. I guess it beats mysteriously dying.

:coffee:

The end of that game doesn't make a bit of sense...it's like it was scripted.

...also, the end of the first half. WTF was that BS?!?!

More and more, NOT believing the BS narrative.

Shanny Jr...ouch. Not a good game. Ditto JimmyG.....maybe there's more to the story though? Bosa is related to the mob somewhat...so, were they forced to lose because of the 50 year nostalgia BS storyline? The game at the end of both halves seemed like they were shoehorned...pretty strange.

Seriously?

First ballot lock.

Dungy is in. Not close to the body of work.

Forgot to mention end of 1st half with all 3 timeouts. Just like Belichick. Why the F do you defer then?!?!

So F’ng stupid.

How about Richard Sherman? Twice his teams blew 10 point 4th quarter leads on the biggest stage.

That's got to hurt.

I guess maybe the "Patriot way" isn't all that bad.

Agreed. Mistakes were made. In addition to the time out misuse, Kyle Shanahan did Kyle Shanahan kinds of things - 3rd/4th quarters calling pass plays when he should have been running the ball to take time off the clock while still winning. Those are the same mistakes he made with Atlanta that allowed 28-3 to happen. JimmyG shrunk late in the game which didn't help. Otoh, I have to hand it to the Chiefs who also, like the Pats, took full advantage of those mistakes to win the game.

He's a young coach, but they will haunt Shanahan. After what happened in our SB v the Falcons and now this.

I know the Chiefs have come behind in three consecutive games now, but on the biggest stage with a stellar defense, the Niners allowed Hill to get wide open on a 3rd and 16 in that manner. Pressure sure does funny things to people.

What's annoying is in all of the Chiefs last three games, the opposite coaches all s**t the bed when they had the lead. BOB should have a nightmare for months over what happened and why Vrable suddenly switched from using Henry, a beast in 2nd halves is beyond me.

I can't help feeling the Chiefs should be better than they are. They have incredible weapons upfront, an RB, lightning-fast receivers and a big-time TE and a brilliant QB. And their defense has guys like Mathieu and Clarke. And yet they've been in the mire in games so often and have had to engineer ludicrous comebacks. They should be exploding with points early and just seeing off games with ease.

Will be interesting next season. The Ravens will be a force and if we can get our offense sorted, we'll be a factor as well.

believe I referred to him somewhere along the line as Jimmy Ain'tgonnabe. Showed it last night.

Absolutely crossed my mind at the time before JG (and ShannyII) shriveled in the 2nd half.

If you don't trust your QB to run a 2 minute drill in the first half of a Super Bowl with 3 timeouts available, you don't have a QB. If the 49ers move on from Jimmy G quicker than everyone expects, last night may be the first sign of why.
