Do you like it?

I have toyed with the idea of commissioning a new logo, that would be all our own, that would less resemble the real Patriots logo.

Something along the lines of these sites: http://www.dawgbones.com and http://www.clanram.com The same guy did both of them.

I would ask for some sort of standing Patriot reminiscent of the old Pat Patriot revolutionary logo somehow incorporating football and the Planet theme.

What do you think? Or would you hate to see the one we have replaced? Or do you not care?

I like the idea - the current logo is just Ok, IMO.

TTIUWOP.

Post some pics of what you have in mind and let the Planeteers decide with a......hmmmmm.... I got it!

A poll!!!

T-shirts go up to 5XL. We can do hoodies too.

I don't have any pics of what I have in mind because I would have to commission it first. I certainly can't draw it.

I asked DW when I first came up with this idea, and because of limits on his time, he declined.

The clanram logo that I mentioned above changed. They used to have one that was more similar to the dawgbones one with a standing mean looking ram guy.

I like the idea, esp. the Pat Patriot incorporation. Maybe Pat Patriot throwing a pass, but the ball is the earth/planet? Or catching a pass. Or I just need more coffee. But I like the idea!

Can't somebody draw up what you have in mind, show you, yet still retain the rights to it until you purchase it?

Most graphic artists won't spend the time until they're paid, I know my wife is payment in advance, and its my understanding that that is the industry standard so they don't have to fight you on copyrights etc.

The current logo is OK, but nothing special, so I can't say that I would hate to see it go. To be honest, I've always liked Pat Patriot better than the flying elvis thing. So one based on that would be to my liking.

In the end, I suppose it all comes down to how the new logo looks. FWIW, I don't like the clanram one.

That makes sense.

How 'bout something like the old Pat Patriot, but standing at an angle with one hand on hip and the other on the barrel of a musket stuck in the sod. It's gotta be pumped and jacked, yet also mean.

Or for the ladies, a curvalicious dangerette, though in a similar uni, cut off of course to display the ample assets. Think Jessica Rabbit.

Sounds great about hoodies, any chance of sweatshirts also? 4XL for me please:thumb:

Maybe Hawg could take on the challenge. He's pretty damn good with the artwork.

Since DW declined the opportunity due to his busy schedule I would think that Born a Patriot would be an outstanding choice if he was willing, especially in consideration of the fine work he has provided PP with the wallpapers he has shared here in the past. His artistic sensibilities seem to be in tune with the general flavor of PP.

Born a Patriot gets my vote and two big :thumb: :thumb: :grovel:

I've seen old AFL game program artwork here before, and found this site that has the images.

UT, you might want to take a look at that page for some ideas on what to use as a starting point for the design.
