The New England Patriots return to AFC East play following two games against NFC teams when they travel to face the New York Jets in the first of two meetings this season. The Jets will travel to face the Patriots on Saturday, Dec. 24th.
A victory on Sunday will give the Patriots a winning season for the 16th straight year, tying the San Francisco 49ers (1983-98) and the Dallas Cowboys (1970-85) for the most consecutive winning seasons since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger. A win would also give New England its 31st winning season since the 1970 merger to tie Dallas for second, behind the 33 winning seasons by Pittsburgh during that time. Read
SERIES HISTORY

The Patriots and Jets will meet for the 115th time, including three postseason games, since the series between the AFC East rivals began in 1960. It will be the first meeting of the 2016 season. The Patriots will host the Jets at Gillette Stadium on Sat., Dec. 24.
Last season, the two teams split the series with the Patriots taking a 30-23 win at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 25, before losing 26-20 in overtime in the rematch at MetLife Stadium on Dec. 27.
The Patriots lead the series, 59-54-1 overall.
The Patriots are 32-25-1 all-time against the Jets at home, including 1-1 at home in the postseason.
The Patriots are 27-29 all-time on the road against the Jets, including 3-3 at MetLife Stadium.
The teams have played in the postseason three times – a 1985 Wild Card game, a 2006 Wild Card game and an AFC Divisional game in 2010. New England beat the Jets, 26-14, in 1985 at the Meadowlands on their way to Super Bowl XX. In 2006, the Patriots defeated the Jets, 37-16, at Gillette Stadium and the Jets beat the Patriots, 28-21, in the 2010 Divisional playoff game. Read

BRADY GOOD VS. JETS

Tom Brady has 21 wins against the New York Jets as a starter and can join Brett Favre as the only quarterbacks with at least 22 wins against two opponents with a win against the Jets this week. Read

With a win vs the Jets the Patriots will be the first former AFL team to have 500 wins.
And coincidentally, Brady would tie PManning for 200 wins for the most ever by a QB.

Overall the list of the 10 former American Football League franchises ranked by victories looks as follows:
New England Patriots (Boston Patriots) (1960-2016): 499
Denver Broncos (1960-2016): 486
Oakland Raiders (Los Angeles Raiders) (1960-2016): 477
Miami Dolphins (1966-2016): 455
Kansas City Chiefs (Dallas Texans) (1960-2016): 451
San Diego Chargers (Los Angeles Chargers) (1960-2016): 436
Tennessee Titans (Houston Oilers) (1960-2016): 423
Buffalo Bills (1960-2016): 412
New York Jets (New York Titans) (1960-2016): 402
Cincinnati Bengals (1968-2016): 368
So as of Sunday Tom Brady could be responsible for exactly 40% of the Patriots’ all-time victories. :toast:

It is amazing the the BF was only 4 years ago.

BB answers a question about the butt fumble.

<iframe width="670" height="407" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lPuEyLoJFzA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hard to make out exactly what he says so:

Jeff Howe @jeffphowe Belichick was asked about the butt fumble. "I don't think we'll get to that."

Then sarcastically: "Great question though. That's awesome."

Gronk was at practice today.

How many times is he going to target Revis? A dozen? More?

I just said this to my brother. They are going to destroy Revis........I'm unsure what will be more of a domination......Brady exploiting Revis, or the Pat secondary intercepting Fitztragic

---------- Post added at 04:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:55 PM ----------

Gronk was at practice today.

He'll be more productive in street clothes than the Jets entire team

So Brady is on the injury report with a knee and didn't practice?
Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, I missed it if it was.

Brady not at practice for second day in a row.

Sky am falling?

Brady questionable, won't speak on playing status vs. Jets: 'We'll see'

Dan Wilkins*Nov 25, 2016 4:12 PM

A pair of missed practices has resulted in the*New England Patriots*officially listing*Tom Brady*as questionable for Sunday against the New York Jets.

As is the case with any injury to a Patriots player, that's about all the information we'll get when it comes to his availability.

The star quarterback was predictably non-committal when asked Friday whether he'd be in the lineup Sunday afternoon.

"We'll see," he said, according to a team release.

Pressed for more information, Brady wouldn't bite.

"We'll see. Yeah, we'll see how it goes."

While there appears to be a small chance Brady will be forced to sit out the key divisional matchup, returning for the last practice of the week is a promising sign.

The future Hall of Famer quickly regained his dominant form upon returning from a four-game suspension to start the year, racking up 1,915 yards, 16 touchdowns, and just one interception across six starts.

All reports are saying Brady will play. I think Bill was just giving him time off for T-giving which is why he missed the second practice. Would not surprise me to see him skip a few more Wed practices the remainder of the season to rest up for the post-season run.

LOL. He gave the Friday presser. He's playing. Rap says Gronk has a good chance of playing too. He needs Drs' clearance first. (and Dad's)

[BB] famously mumbles, grunts and snorts into the microphone all while not giving reporters much of anything in terms of insight on the team. Reporters know it and Belichick never waivers.
It was more of the same on Friday when a reporter asked Bill Belichick about the status of Tom Brady. Now, it's Doug Kyed of NESN's job to ask these question on the off chance that the head coach does decide to open up. But we all know better.
Still the question must be asked and this time the head coach had some fun.
Q: I know what the answer to this question is but I have to ask it.
BB: So why are we going to ask it then?
Q: Do you expect Tom Brady to play this weekend?
BB: We’ll list Tom [Brady] on the injury report like we always do, like everybody else. Is that the answer you were hoping for?
Q: Not hoping for but expecting.
BB: OK, good. I don’t want to disappoint you.

Belichick had a smirk on his face during the back and forth with Doug.
