I don't usually care about these things at all, but I think it's actually a tough choice.

Just wondering if you overlooked Favre and Romo, or if that was intentional...

I think he only listed the AFC QBs, of which I think 3 will get in.

Yep, didn't read the title of the poll close enough. Sorry for looking like a stupid moron :D

Well, good thing you didn't look redundant, at least.

:D

Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger are locks. I think Anderson will get some consideration if they were to win that division, but I doubt they will.

The first two are obvious no brainers, then I would have to go with Garrard. No Ints thus far through the season.

And thank you, SF87, for catching my faux pas on the English language. And now that you've pointed that out, I feel more stupid and moronic.

You're welcome.

But seriously, when I first read your question about Favre and Romo, I had to go back and check to see that all the guys listed were AFC QBs, so don't feel too bad.

I voted for Brady, Manning and Garrard but on further consideration I don't think Manning makes it, unless he improves his play dramatically (which could happen).

Right now based on QB ratings it would be Brady, Roethlisberger and Garrard.

I think Garrard is a lock because the liberal media wants to see a black man succeed at the position.

ok I'll bite....

But what about Carson Palmer and the unpredictable Bengals? ;)

Future games:

Palmer vs. Roth

Palmer vs. Anderson

I'd like to wait to see how these matchups play out before ruling on a number three. The first two are obvious choices. Hey, Manning could slip side out of number 2 as well. Wouldn't that be something.

X2

The Poll Title is worded as which three "will go" and even though I think Anderson should get it over Big Ben, I think Ben goes on name recognition alone.

Before SF87 gets his panties all tangled up, I'm not looking at any stats or anything. I'm just guessing that Anderson's numbers are better.

Garrard was hurt for a few weeks and his numbers (again, guessing) shluld reflect that. It is impressive to not throw an INT regardless.

Brady, Manning and whichever of Roethlisberger or Anderson wins the AFC North.

Brady gets in even if he sits out the remaining 5 games.

Anderson has had the second best season statistically speaking, but will lose on name recognition to Manning and Roethlisberger, unless the Browns win the North. Then maybe ...maybe he beats out Roethislberger, but i still wouldnt bet money on it.

Gerrard has had a nice season, but wont even get a sniff, unless two of the other four get hurt or decline to play.

Brady, Manning, Anderson

Brady..obvious

Anderson..he is new and exciting and playing well.

Manning...primarily because of his name. Ben is close, but I think a lot depends on how things go in december.

I actually think big ben deserves to go over Manning this year, but Manning will get the votes anyway.

Some stats to consider in regards to Ben vs Derek:

Completion percentage:

Anderson: 2,758 (33.2 attempts per game)

YPA:
Ben: 8.3 (3rd in the league)
Anderson: 7.6 (9th)

TDs:
Ben: 23 (3rd)
Anderson: 22 (4th)

INT:
Ben: 9
DA: 11

Passer Rating:
Ben 106.0 (2nd in the league)
DA: 89.5 (11th)

Interesting. Anderson might just be a 'sexy' pick then because he's come out of nowhere. Ben's undoubtedly had a great season. I take nothing away from him. Frankly, he scares me a little with the ball and space to operate in.
