The 'daughter of tragedy' aspect of her life does become tiresome, and tends to overshadow (for some people) her accomplishments and her talent. I can only imagine how her kids feel when their mother's life is reduced to her frailties and the exploitation of her demons. As the years go by, she is increasingly appreciated as an unparalleled talent, to the delight of countless Judyphiles. We're all very protective of 'our Girl', and we're so thankful for the body of work she left to us. I remember when the Red Sox won the ALCS, and were slated to play the Cardinals in the WS; they played Judy singing "Meet Me In St Louis" over the PA system, and that thrilled me more than the Red Sox victory!
