  • I could have probably stuck it out, but having kids aged (now) 7 and 2 there was just no way.
London was convenient for us since I already made most of my money off clients there and had lived there before. Weather isn't great, but the city is magical in many ways and my son gobbles up the historical aspects of the city.
Brexit was a bit of a wrench in it all, since I work for a Swiss investment bank and obviously they're concerned about the future of the single market, but so far there's been no indication I'm going anywhere. Worst comes to worse, we'll have to move to Switzerland, but I am hoping it won't be the case since my son is settled into his school really well and has made great friends (plus the other parents are nothing short of amazing).
And yes! Bannon is disgusting. Was discussing him with one of our global heads today who looked almost visibly sick at the mention of his name.
We've been called a lot of shit for our decision to "run away from America", but to be honest... I couldn't give less of a ****. Every single day that decision is being vindicated. Not like us staying in the DC area would make any change. It would just make our lives fundamentally worse.
Instead kids are flourishing like crazy, we're enjoying a life amongst people who are not ~50% likely to be crazies and I know my daughter won't have to worry about all the things she'd have to worry about on the other side.
I'm fairly sure no one misses us, but I'm certain we don't miss it. Sad but it is what it is.
They're all doing good too. Glad everyone is well. You speak your mind and for the most part reasonable although quite colorful at time. Have a great Holiday
Me, too. But just like 2007 and 2011, we will move on.

And this season should be very interesting.

    Looking forward to watching.
It seems unbelievable that so many important people are weighing in on Goodell's abuse of power. About time!
For your sake (you're such a passionate fan) I hope Brady doesn't get old overnight like Peyton did-

And P.S.- I would have gloated so bad (and probably got banned) if you weren't here.
Worrying doesn't prevent the bad things from happening.
It just prevents you from enjoying the good things.
