The Dynasty

I wonder, in the last episode, will we see RKK openly mocking and disparaging Bill in front of his guests in his box at Gillette?

Yeah, no chance....at the end of each episode, as pointed out by some journos is:

“Copyright Kraft Dynasty LLC 2024 … The copyright holder is the author of this cinematographic or audiovisual work.”

As Volin said, (yeah, Volin...I know), this is just another Kraft hitjob on Bill. I can't believe RKK related the story in the series that Giselle came to his house screaming about "that fu*king Belichick, he is not treating my Tommy like a man". I mean Kraft actually tells that story.

The Krafts are completely going OTT with their attempts to sully BBs name. Can anyone honestly see Bill coming back to the stadium the way Tom did earlier last season? Or even the way Vrabel was welcomed back?

I think it's a disgrace what has and is happening.

She in no way tried to tank his football career. And her accomplishments were pretty damn impressive.

It's a fucking joke how the Krafts are trying to spin this narrative and shit on Bill. An embarrassing propaganda piece from a family trying to shoehorn themselves into the conversation of responsibility for success that they don't deserve.

I don’t blame Brady for wanting to do something different. Sometimes it’s necessary. I totally get it. Turning the page isn’t a bad thing.
I also can’t and couldn’t fault BB for thinking Brady was on the verge of deterioration.
Hard to fathom a guy playing at that level into his forties. He was one in a million.

I think it's the rule changes protecting the QBs & WRs, that have made it more viable for QBs to play longer, and of course be a much greater factor in wins (or losses).

I agree however I think Brady’s career happened in the transition period of those rule changes. He definitely took some serious shots.

Episode 3 done. Beldsoe was such a pro when he was told by Bill that Tom would start the SB v the Rams. He was crushed but did everything he could for Tom and the team to prepare them for the game. Bruschi said it, there's our $100M QB, and he's doing everything he can to help this rookie and us.

Great footage of that SB. And Bill giving up his hotel room to Milloy

Parcells is interviewed and said that drafting players out of his hands meant there were incompetent people making those decisions. We might be heading for that era again, I'm sure many fans are thinking that when watching.

Episode 4. Really good stuff. Randy Moss featured heavily and Bill just goes on a giant revenge mission over the shit he took over Spygate. Moss was just a machine, he was unplayable and Bills attitude was it didn't matter if they were up 20, he told the offense to keep going, fuck 'em all was the message. And the players did it for him.

one of which derailed the '08 season...though it was the first time in 23 years that an 11 win team missed the playoffs

A good synopsis of #3 and #4.

“The Patriot Way” started with Bledsoe.

Like “Do Your Job”, “The Patriot Way”, also became a moniker for New England’s two-plus decades of success. Linebacker Tedy Bruschi said that started with Drew Bledsoe during Super bowl XXXVI week.

As mentioned above, Belichick had yet another tough decision to make heading into the final game of 2001-02 with Brady nursing a sprained ankle and Bledsoe bringing New England to an AFC Championship game win. After watching Brady practice for a few days, he went with him.

“At the end of practice I got called up to Belichick’s hotel room,” Bledsoe described of how he found out he’d once again be benched. “He just sat down and he goes, ‘Tommy’s ankle looks good. We’ve decided that, you know, we can only get one quarterback ready to go and we’re going to go with Tom this week.’ Man, that was, that was a bitter pill. That was a bitter bitter pill to swallow.”

“As the case has been all year,” Bledsoe told the media in New Orleans that week, “I’ll do whatever I can to help [Brady] to play well in this game.”

“I mean Drew coulda messed a lot of things up,” Bruschi said of Bledsoe’s attitude that season. “But as frustrated as Drew was, he still was very supportive to Tom. That meant a lot for me to see. All this stuff Belichick says like doing your job and putting the team first, Drew was like, living that. I mean, there’s $100 million quarterback doing what’s best for the team.”

“That’s where I think ‘The Patriot Way’ started.”

Ernie Adams, Bill Belichick's and the team’s director of football research, basically took all of the credit for them going for it:

“We could’ve knelt on it and gone to sudden-death overtime,” Adams explained. “But then Bill came on the headset and said, ‘Okay Ernie, what do you wanna do?’ And I said, ‘Bill, we’re a little bit out of gas. If they get the ball again, I’m not real sure we can stop ‘em. I mean this drive is do or die. We need to try to go get Adam Vinatieri a shot to win it for us heer in regulation.’”

Drew Bledsoe’s attitude towards Brady ahead of the drive was also super cool.

“I go up to Coach Belichick and he says, ‘We’re goin,’ and he says, ‘Just take care of the ball!’” Brady said. “And Drew was kind of standing next to me and he kinda just shuffled in front of that and he says ‘F– that.’”

“I remember, you know somebody saying to Tom like, ‘Hey be careful,’” said Bledsoe. “Like no, we’re big underdogs in this game. Nobody expected you to be here, nobody expected us to be here. F– it man, go.”

Nine plays. 54 yards. An Adam Vinatieri 48-yard game-winner. Super Bowl champions.

I didn't like Episode 4 because they failed to explain that stealing signals isn't cheating - it was the use of video cameras that was the rule violation, which is obviously a stupid rule. I think Belichick did allude to that. The whole bit about Ernie Adams going to his grave with something was pretty dumb, but I blame Ernie Adams for being an idiot.

I think it's a disgrace what has and is happening.

I haven't watched it yet, hoping to start it tonight.

It is an interesting phenomenon that I've seen up close in Boston sports yet has its roots in some unhealthy psychology.

When you breakup its essential for some to talk all kindsa shit about the other party. To my mind it's to eliminate any possibility the shit talker has any warts or culpability. Must demonize the other.

I've experienced this to such depths that upon returning to a place I haven't associated with in 30 years. I'm like an urban legend, an amalgamation of every evil criminal who ever existed. Weird, all I did was leave my mark for partying and raising hell as a youth. An ex girlfriend is the root of the evil legend. Her exes always have to be depicted as the worst ever, or she couldn't continue her persona as Snow White.

I'm working on understanding this psychology and it's roots. I'll be very interested if Kraft goes the way of the Red Sox and John Henry, dropping bombs on the character on the way out the door.

If he does it could be a bit different than Henry. Bob is aged. He could possibly have boosting his legacy in mind. Not sure yet. Have to see more from him.

No matter, one who does such feels very small, sadly. They feel the persona they've crafted is fraudulent, they didn't earn it. So they attempt to fake reality in the eyes of others.

Reality however, cannot be faked and will not be cheated. Time always shows the truth to those willing to look.

Drew was the consummate pro and very talented. The shit talk thrown his direction should end and mostly comes from those who were not around to see what preceded him.
Parcells absolutely fucked us in 36. Furthermore Kraft should have kept out of the draft. If those two could have been reasonable, the Dynasty could have started right here. That ‘96 team was that talented.
Kraft is throwing barbs at BB. A decidedly negative portrayal is emerging. “Then you’re a total schmuck”.
My understanding of the incident that became “spygate”, is that it wasn’t necessarily the filming, it was the location they were filming from. Pretty sure filming signals is not or was not illegal at the time.
