The porn for the blind thread made me think.

Which sense would you hate to lose the most?

Me personally I think it would be my sight. I can't imagine never being able to see my nephews faces anymore. All their facial expressions that they make. I can't imagine never seeing the moon or the stars again, or watching the waves hit the sand, seeing the mountains up in NH, seeing snowflakes fall in the sky and seeing the streets and houses covered in white the next day.

I am a visual person and if I woke up tomorrow and could not see I think that would be the hardest thing for me ever.

So what do you think?

I thin kwhat's interesting is you can "touch" all those things, too, and sometimes, that's pretty cool... Tough choice....

Taste, got to say I love to taste things.

I voted touch, cuz that would mean I was paralyzed.

Sight would be second.

my bad, i put smell, cause i thought it was which wud u lose if u had 2 lose 1

Sight. I think hearing would rate #2 for me. I did some work @ a school for the deaf, and I'm thankful I don't have that disability.

Sight!

Smell would be the least. Just think you could go into a bathroom at home , work, or any other place and not want to barf if the guy before you made a big smelly dump.

Sight, I want to see my kids grow up...

Sight, because it's the hardest to overcome. Most people could still do their regular jobs without hearing. Marlee Maitlin can dance without it. It would be isolating and depressing, but it wouldn't be as life-altering as being blind. As I can barely see I can attest to it! (Around 20/650 without glasses... probably even worse by now...)

Smell is actually pretty important. People don't realize how intricately related smell and taste are. Ever notice that you can't taste your food when you have a cold? I knew a guy who had a skateboard accident and lost his sense of smell, and because of it all food tasted bland. So it's hard to discuss smell without discussing taste.

Touch is also up for debate. One could interpret that to mean "I'm paralyzed", or one could interpret that to mean "I'm fingerless", or it can also simply mean "my fingertips have lost sensation". Those are hugely different things. One reason people can't feel sensation is because of that nerve disease where they don't feel pain, which actually sucks ass: pain is your body's natural way of telling you that you have a problem, and it creates a host of problems and side effects (like not being able to sense when you're touching something, and I think it might also mean you don't sweat so you could bake yourself to death).

I would hate to lose the sense of touch.

I hate listening to people, so going deaf wouldn't be all that bad.

There are a lot of fugly people out there who hurt my eyes just looking at them. Being blind would solve that, plus you can get a really smart dog to walk around with you.

Losing your sense of taste may suck because you wouldn't be able to enjoy food anymore, but at the same time you wouldn't just eat anything because it tastes good. So chances are you would be able to get into good shape, and would be able to eat healthy food no matter how gross it used to taste to you.

Smell is pretty much the same as taste.

But if you lose touch you lose a lot. You can't have sex anymore, you wouldn't feel anything. It would just be like moving your hips back and forth for excercise. Pointless.

Yeah but you would also miss out on seeing the beautiful things out there. Plus, you could very well unknowingly fall in love with one of the fuglys. But I guess you wouldn't know so you wouldn't care.

So for a girl since she ummm feels it from within would that go away? Cause for her it's more than the touch of skin it's deep inside that special spot.

I voted sight, with the stipulation of touch NOT meaning paralyzed like Jonathan! stated, just the sense of touch.

Hearing would suck, but I've always got the voices in my head!

Taste I'd miss. But on the positive you'd be in great shape 'cuz theres no sense eating that bacon cheesburger if you can't taste it so you could opt for the baked cod every time.

Smell would suck too. You'd have no idea when somebody is crop-dusting and you'd end up just basking in somebodies ass-air. Not to mention the potential personal body odors you try to be aware of. You'd have to have someone you could trust to let you know, you know?

Loss of touch I would take to mean loss of sensation not paralyzation. And on the plus side you'd be able to hump forever, but the bad news is YOU WOULDN'T FEEL IT! So you'd be a God of the Sack but you'd get no pleasurable feeling from it.

On second thought, poke my eyes out...
