Jerrah - WTF?

I can tell you for a fact that Cowboys fans do not hate the guy. He bought the team and turned a 1-15 joke into a dynasty. Is this how people will view Kraft in 20 years if the Patriots fall back to mediocrity? I hope not. If not for Jones, that team would have gone nowhere.

This is true but what's he done for them lately other than build a monument to his own ego?

Hopefully the Kraft family buries their ego & makes better decisions than Jerrah has made.

Guy freaking fired Tom Landry. And Tex Schramm. How do you justify that?

Amazingly, Landry led the Cowboys to the playoffs every season between 1966 and 1986 missing only twice in that span.

Every owner has egos (Patriots Place says hello). Where Kraft got smart (learned from the Parcells fiasco) was to stay out of the football part of the business.

Like I said earlier, I never thought I'd see the day where Patriots fans would outnumber Cowboys fans at a game in Dallas

Pats fans had to get the tickets from somewhere, I'm assuming season ticket holders. Either they got top dollar for the tickets and said "F it" I'm cashing in, or they hate the product Dallas is currently offering. I'm thinking it may be a combination of the 2

Landry was a shell of himself when Jones fired him. I was living there at the time and fans wanted Landry gone the year before and hoped he would retire. When they hired Jimmy Johnson, Cowboys fans thought they died and went to heaven.

...and then when all the focus and credit went to Jimmah instead of Jerrah, Jimmah became an analyst for Fox...

Watch the Lombardi presentation to the Cowboys at SB XXX. Jerrah rips the sucker right out of Barry Switzer's hands!

You also don't see Kraft on the sidelines at the conclusion of games with time still remaining on the clock either

Patriots Place was in the long term business plan from the start to make the area a year round destination venue. That's a money maker for Kraft and has nothing to do with ego imo.

Staying out of the football part was very smart but it has been Kraft's decisions on who to hire to run the football operation that separates Kraft from Jerrah. Jerrah hired himself as GM to be in charge of hiring coaches and signing players. Kraft hired real football people to take over his organization and developed a role for each FO person he hired. Parcells didn't like his limited role and rather than give in to Parcells, Kraft followed his plan and let Parcells walk. That was a gutsy decision that turned out well. The Pats personnel dept has become one of the best scouting organizations in the NFL. The Pro Personnel scouting dept is particularly good.

too bad no casino, would have really been a year round destination

Thanks god no casino. Casinos tend to draw the dregs of society. Went to Foxwoods over the summer for a show... I couldn't believe how far that place has fallen.

It's the place where retirees go to die. They're brought in by the bus loads with social security checks in hand. It's actually a very pathetic sight.

Babooshka Bobbie needs to grow a pair and stop sucking on Fraudger's lil' Dodger...

No offense but the purpose of this thread was to address the whole "circumcise the mosquito" comment. Only one reply addressed it.

Am I missing something? Is that like a thing?

I think it means something like, getting very little accomplished.

Back in the day I used to do prettyvwell intheir poker room.

Would play at the 25 cent table where a good percentage were reticent and impulsive folks that played irratically and frighttened. There were always a couple of hustlers at each of those tables. I was not that, but played a solid and disciplined game and usually came out ahead.

Haven't been back in twenty years. Didn't realize it has faded so but did
notice the enormous drop in advertising.

Cheers

I think it's funny that Brinson believes circumcision is the same as neutering.

That too. The state of MA truly showed its lack of morality in voting in casinos.
they did the dregs of society a favor, the drive to lose money is much shorter.

That said - something is coming to the area, read the neighboring town planning and zoning board agendas and you will see development that doesn't fit the current landscape. I have no clue what is coming (yet) but that land Krafty owns will be developed. Every town seems to be adding hotels.
