Uh, I smell a setup from BB.

[/URL]Offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia said he would never have come out of retirement if Josh McDaniels wasn’t the offensive coordinator. In raving about McDaniels professionally and personally, he says, “Someone is going to be very lucky to have him as a head coach some day.”

Matt Chatham: Patriots’ defense has chance to cement historic impact against Dolphins in Week 17

The Patriots have an opportunity Sunday to move to a lower points per game allowed average than any team since the infamous griping by members of the 2004 NFL Competition Committee (particularly Bill Polian, Mike Martz and Mike Holmgren) changed the game to a strict enforcement of illegal contact rules — meant to curb the mugging defensive style adopted by, yes, our New England Patriots.
But more interestingly, New England also can secure the greatest gap between the leading scoring defense and the NFL’s average points per game in this era. In other words, the Patriots would have held offenses down at a rate with more space between themselves and that season’s norm than any team in this era. We like to point out things “in context” around here … for history’s sake, if ya catch my drift.
All of these things are before the Patriots as they take the field this Sunday, and naturally, none are as important as simply securing the bye. But in saying that, for those who like a little history side-action to keeps things interesting, the Patriots’ grip on the Dolphins point totals throughout the day should do just the trick.

OL coach Dante Scarnecchia said that he sees Shaq Mason moving around much better in recent weeks, playing better. Returning to the form they expect of him. Mason was dealing with an ankle injury earlier this year.

Ivan Fears on Elandon Roberts: "We needed a fullback. We needed to be able to keep the scheme going and he was very willing to do it. As you guys all know, Elandon is great at going downhill and knocking the piss out of somebody."

Wow, again!
